We're visiting Chicago next Tuesday through Thursday. I'm wondering if the Field museum or Shed's aquarium have any times for free admission. I'm orignally from St. Louis and there the attractions sometimes free admission times.

Also, since I now live in a very small town in Wisconsin I'm really wanting to get to a good store that has slings I can try on. There's not a store anywhere close to me that sells slings. I searched this forum and saw Be By Baby. We're staying in Rosemont so is this close at all?

You can get to Be By Baby from Rosemont by taking the Blue line to Addison. Then take the 152 bus and walk a little south.

Yeah I should have stated that this trip will take an hour to get there. Sorry about that...

Just as an aside...if you live in Wisconsin, there is a great store in New Glarus that sells slings and cloth diapers called Nicki's Diapers. They are very, very friendly and helpful. They also have a wonderful website and will happily do exchanges until you are happy with the fit. You can call them and explain your situation and they will work with you over the phone to find the right one for you.

Be By Baby is a great store for slings. They carry a huge selection and will open every package and show you haw each one works. They are quite far from Rosemont and if you have little kids I would suggest taking a cab (though it may be pricy). If you are staying at a hotel, talk to the concierge and see if they can help you get there. The Blue Line EL train is an easy thing but if you are not familiar with it or public transportation in general, it may freak you out a little. Good luck with your search!
