Hi, my sister (from So Cal) and I (from Boston) are meeting up in Houston (where I grew up and still have friends and some family) for 5 days in mid-May. We would love to borrow some kids' gear, so we don't have to pack up our whole houses for this visit! I have a 2.5 yr old boy and a (will be) 6 month old girl; she has a (will be) 5 month old girl. We would love to borrow:
baby swing
exersaucer
pak-n-play
boppy or my brest friend
toddler toys such as trains, trucks, blocks, and books
pool stuff - floatie boat for babies, toys for toddler
booster seat with tray
Moby wrap or something similar (I have one for my babe, but my sister doesn't have any kind of baby sling/wrap - I'd love to take this opportunity to introduce her to the joys of babywearing!)

Thanks so much!!

Sorry, my baby stuff is currently in use, but I thought you might find this link useful: www.rockabyebabyrentals.com. I've not used this service and don't really know much about them, but I used a similiar service when we travelled to Phoenix a few years ago and it worked out great!

If you're staying at a hotel you might ask for their recommendations. In Phoenix DH's conference was at a very very nice hotel with a concierge that pointed us toward the rental place. Hotels very often have pack n plays for guest use if you ask, but they don't usually volunteer that info.

GL and I hope you have a great trip!

Mom2Annika, what a fantastic link!! Thanks so much! After I posted, I was thinking that someone should start a service like this, but it didn't occur to me that someone actually had!

However, if anyone has anything to lend me for free, I'd still really appreciate that too!

Couldn't you just put a blanket on the floor with minimal toys and let the babes entertain each other? I mean, in place of the exersaucer, swing, pack n play..

You can also use regular pillows instead of a boppy in a pinch.

For the pool you could buy 1 or 2 inflatable things for compactness during travel.
