Anyone who has used Vitex please let me know what you thought of it.

Is it working well?
How long did it take to start to regulate your cycle?

I have long cycles (31-33 days) and short LP's (10-11 days) so I am hoping to start it next cycle.

You can check out my chart (in my signature) to see how well Vitex worked to lengthen my LP in August.

I took 1200mg daily and in one cycle I went from 9 days to 11 days. However, the next cycle I miscarried, so now I'm freaked out at the chance that I have a progesterone problem, and the Vitex helped me get pregnant but didn't keep me pregnant. I know one thing might not have anything to do with another, but I'd rather not get pregnant right now than have another miscarriage, so I'm not taking Vitex anymore.

This is my first cycle taking it. I actually o'd one day early this cycle (still a long cycle but that's ok as long as it's somewhat regular). Like the pp I've been taking 1200 mg/day in capsule form. I also had a 10 day LP last cycle and I'm hoping this will increase it. You can check out my chart in my signature. 10 dpo will be on Saturday so as long as AF doesn't come by then I would say the vitex has helped some.

I took Vitex for about 5 months and it didn't do anything for me. I took B6 for one cycle and that really lengthened my lp (an extra 3 days) but the vitex didn't help anything. I quit taking the B6 cause my lp didn't need to be lengthened (it just made my tww longer!)

I took Vitex for about 2 months and it definitely made a difference in my temperature levels. Before Vitex, my pre-ov and post-ov temps weren't that different -- different enough to notice a vague thermal shift (and I DID ovulate), but not different enough to make me feel confident in my hormone levels.

Last cycle, my thermal shift was noticeable and pretty. I'm off Vitex for the time being, as I'm doing the TWW and don't want to take it should I happen to be pregnant.

I'm the flip side of the coin. I took Vitex in the form of Fertility Blend vitamins and didn't O for a cycle. I took the vitamins for 15 days and never Oed that cycle. Luckily I got back on track the next cycle but Oed pretty late. Unfortunately it doesn't work for everyone.

Vitex worked for me. It needs to be taken for a while to take effect. I was taking it for about 4 mo just to regulate my cycle not get preg. I think it interfered with EC. Ooops...I ended up with a little cutie.

Vitex regulated my cycles after going off of the pill right away. My periods had been coming every 8 to 12 weeks for about a year and started coming every 32 days like clockwork.

Vitex also kickstarted my cycles when I was nursing my 19 month old DS. My luteal phases stayed kind of short - about 11 days and my pre-O phase was super long around 26 days. I still concieved my DD during the 2rd cycle of trying.
