Last night I spent the night throwing up. I think it has been the worst throwing up session I've had in the entire pregnancy. It was horrible and I had this super strong belly ache.
I managed to get some rest, but when I woke up I had the worst cramps, like I was gonna get my period and as soon as I stood up blood was gonna start flowing out of me. Luckily nothing happened, but my belly still hurts quite a bit.
Should I be concerned? Should I call my doctor? Have you experienced something similar?

I've had a recurrence of the pukies myself. Did you only get sick once? If so, you're prob. ok. Make sure you get plenty of fluids, and lay down as much as possible. If you are throwing up more than once or twice, make sure you call your dr, they might want you to go get checked out.

I've been throwing up once on random occasions where I dont even feel nauseous and is completely unexpected. It has happened maybe 5 or 6 times in the past three weeks.
Last night I did threw up a lot and I felt sick, it didnt take me my surprise like the other times.
Dss is being very understanding that I need to lay down in the couch, so Im getting my rest
, I do need to drink more fluids and maybe eat something. Im hungry, but Im scared to eat. I think I'll have some toast.

Is anyone else in the house sick? Do you think that it could be food poisoning? Just try to stay hydrated and eat really simple things like toast. I feel like crap today as well and have had an upset stomach all morning so we can commiserate together

I've been getting sick at night probably 4-5 days out of a week for the past couple weeks. It is generally due to reflux, and sometimes it has come on without warning. Once I throw up, I feel better and am able to sleep through the night. I often get crampy feeling with it, but not like you've explained where you still feel it the next day.

I have a mw appointment today and I will be discussing this with them again. They know I've been sick in the past, and haven't been too concerned. I take zantac for the reflux and they've offered to write me a different rx, that's about it. Perhaps something just didn't sit right with you last night? In any case, I hope you are feeling better soon!

That pretty much describes the past times, but I think I better call the doctor's office and speak with one of the nurses. I just threw up again and all I had was ONE piece of toast and a glass of apple juice.

I talked to one of the nurses, she said the cramping could very well be contractions. The one time I ended up in L&D with an IV, I was having contractions and I didnt know. I just thought I was crampy, because it wasnt so bad, this is a BIT more uncomfortable.
She said that my body could be purging itself to get ready for labor?
To also pay attention to the baby's movement, to make sure Im getting 5-10 in a hour. And that if I cant keep fluids down Im gonna have to go to get and IV again, how exciting!

I'm sorry you are feeling so crappy and throwing up! If you sip water, does it stay down?

It is for now. Im drinking it slowly, but earlier it took me a long time to throw up after I had some toast, but hopefully I'll be fine with just water.

I feel so dumb about being unsure how contractions feel. The nurse said that I could feel them in my lower back (that's where I feel them) depending on the baby's positioning. I just dont know how Im supposed to keep track of them and track of how much she moves, while attending for a toddler and trying to keep a spraying cat from going into our bedroom where I have all the baby things. You would think a door would do it? but he somehow figured out that if you push that door it will open.

I did find a cool tool to time contractions online.

So according to my insecure timing, the cramping/contractions (why do I keep thinking they're not contractions) last about 40-45 secs and happens every 2-3 minutes.
It's not super painful, but I can definitely feel it, mostly in my lower back. I really hope Sophia isnt in a weird position.
For how long do you think I should time it, before I call the nurse again? A couple of hours?
I feel so clueless

How many weeks are you? The nurse could be on to something with the self-cleansing going on before labor. I had some violent throwing up with DS two days before I went into labor. I have a feeling that my body is doing the same thing today. I would keep an eye on it for a little while longer and try to stay hydrated and relax, if things pick up I'd give a call to the nurse and maybe get checked.

Im 37 weeks and 2 days. So it could very well be possible, I just dont feel like Im in labor, but I still keep feeling them with the same frequency, 2-4 minutes apart. Maybe Im in denial haha
Im drinking my water. I informed DP about it and told him to bring me gatorade when he's done work (unless I need him to leave earlier) and I stopped timing them, because I forgot to make lunch for dss and started doing that and decided to relax for awhile and start with the timing again a bit later.
Should I try eating something? At least crackers? My stomach is pretty empty, in case I do go into labor I probably dont want to with an empty stomach and I dont think they'll let me eat at the hospital.

Explosive vomiting has just hit me today.
Some cramping, but not much and some BH. An all around horrible yucky feeling, though.

Unfortunately for me, though, I think DD's little friend gave me this, indirectly. (Toddler today had the fever part of it yesterday, DD's friend had the vomiting part, now I'm vomiting. *sigh*) If only it WERE labor for me! hehe

Good luck and I'd say not just water, but some gatoraide or something with electrolytes, if you can keep it down.

I think Im getting better from the nausea and vomiting. I've drank juice, water, couldnt resist eating some noodles and I dont feel sick at all. Im happy about that.

I had to deal with the biggest tantrum from dss and I completely lost track of the timing. DP is here, he brought me gatorade
, he'll go back to work though, I dont feel like I need him to stay.
There's a part of me that hopes this is labor, then another that is going through all the things I still need to do and saying baby hold on.

Sorry about the pukies!! I hope you're doing alright. I remember my friend had a bout of vomiting a couple weeks before her due date and felt like she was having ctx, went into the hospital but it wasn't going anywhere. I think it could be either your vomiting is causing the ctx or maybe your body is going into labor and you are vomiting as a reaction to it!

Either way, I hope you can get checked out, IV's are no fun but you gotta take care of that little Sophia!

Im taking care

The nausea and vomiting seem to be gone. I actually felt quite famished and I ate a bowl of noodles with olive oil and parmesan cheese, then I had a whole wheat english muffin with butter and I also ate two little debbie blueberry muffins. I know, Im bad

I've drank plenty of apple juice and water. Im now having a cup of Mother to Be tea from Yogi Tea with a bit of honey. The contractions are still there, I feel like now I can call them that because they are more intense, but further apart, although I need to start timing them again.

Yesterday I had contractions most of the day, they would last for a couple of hours, go away, then come again after a couple of hours being more intense. I got a bit nauseous again at nightime but I didnt puke... yay!

I woke up feeling kinda crappy, but it was such a beautiful day today and i had made plans with a friend to go shopping. Im so glad I did, the weather put me in a wonderful mood and I walked SO MUCH. I was having contractions again today, even more intense ones while I was at the mall, for a moment I thought maybe I should go home, but I decided to sit down get something to eat, why do I feel like eating while having contractions?
I felt way better, though the contractions were still there. It was funny I was getting compliments from people while I was getting them, about how great I looked and how well I was carrying and that I didnt look like I was so close to my EDD, made me feel pretty
. I got a beautiful maxi dress, I'll post a picture in the belly picture thread, lots of baby things, they had a sale at carter's and I got a bunch of things for 5$ and 7$.

I think today I had them for like 2-3 hours, but no more. Im not just incredibly hot!
