I need to vent for a minute....<br><br>
I have a nasty YI that won't go away- garlic isn't doing the trick, either. AND I read that Vagisil is Pregnancy Cat C.<br><br>
My abs hurt from throwing up so much.<br><br>
...And last night my 8-month-old bit me while nursing before bed. It came out of nowhere. She drew blood. I screamed and scared the crap out of her. It hurt so bad I almost didn't care I scared her, because I'm hoping it makes her NEVER want to do it again! Plus, when I jerked away from her, I immediately got horrible round ligament pain.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/Cuss.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="cuss"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/Cuss.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="cuss"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/Cuss.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="cuss"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/Cuss.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="cuss">

You deserve to vent!!!<br><br>
I had a YI a few weeks ago; fortuneately, it was mild. I think you can use monistat during pregnancy. What I did, though, was take a medical syringe (the kind you'd put baby medicine into) and squirt PLAIN yogurt up in there right before bed (I'd also wear a pantyliner).<br><br>
Hope you have a better day!

Oh my gosh, <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug">. That is rough. I hope you are feeling better soon, your nipple heals quickly, and the YI goes away soon! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/goodvibes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Goodvibes">

yes this. I've done it and it cleared my YI up in a day or two.<br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug">

I take probiotics to keep the YI monsters away. It works like a charm.....I get the kind that have many different strains of good bacteria and take two capsules before bed. Sometimes more if symptoms are severe. Hope this helps you.

Thank you, mamas-virtual hugs are so nice!<br><br>
Weird thing...I was pumping a bit ago, and milk was coming out of the bite my DD gave me...hmmm that's different! I noticed because it's below my nip (gotta love those new, razor-sharp bottom teeth)

This has worked for me before. It's gross and uncomfortable, but it will usually do something eventually. I'm really sorry...yeast infections are the absolute PITS.
