Seriously, I do not ever recall feeling this tired with my other pregnancies. It's probably because I have four kids ages seven and under, but WOW. I can barely keep my eyes open -- and I nap every day with my 2yo while the olders have some quiet time.

:yawning

I bought a bunch of frozen/canned organic stuff because I'm too tired to cook for my kids :

My iron is nice and high, and I'm taking tons of supplements: RRL, Alfalfa, K1 and K2, Clorophyll, Stinging Nettles, two multis -- along with with my usual regime of Calcium A D E K C B zinc copper potassium.

But WOW. This tiredness is amazing. I just want to lay down and watch Real Housewives.

Oh. You don't even want to know what the kids are eating around here. I just don't have the energy or the time not spent puking to do any meal planning. It's toast with nut butter and anything else that I can pull from a package and put directly on their plate. And a fair amount of take out.

I haven't been exhausted like I remember with the others but I honestly can't wait for that amazing 'I could sleep through anything' kind of sleep!

Ummm. I *need* to go buy a bunch of stuff like that. DD had some canned black beans, some canned corn, a few dried cherries, and some yogurt for lunch. I'll call it success if I manage to get something on the table for dinner tonight. Last night we had five left over (small, between the 3 of us) dumplings, and apple pie for dinner.

I was only moderately tired until last night. I also just want to lay down and watch, well, something.
Ahhh, I think with longing of the days during my pregnancy with dd, where I did indeed spend plenty of time lying on the couch with my computer and dvds from the library. (I managed to get through SIX seasons of CSI between early pregnancy and those first few weeks of marathon breastfeeding!)
DD is currently doing something with her diapers, a bumbo chair, a ball and a fairy wand. I should go investigate (she's 16months!), but that would require energy. We've fairly recently moved here, and I don't feel there's anyone I can call, but I really, really just want to take DD to someone's house, where she can play with their kids and I can remain semi-conscious on their couch. Or, they could come here, but then they'd have to eat canned corn for a snack, and that might be below my comfort threshold.

DumaYoula, and all the rest of you with multiple older children, you have my utmost admiration.

I'm 10 weeks and absolutely exhausted today. I've been doing ok this entire time ... but today I feel like I will have to nap at some point.

Seriously. I only have one dd (and a dog and cat), but I can barely get dinner on the table at this point.

How did you manage that, did you bring a pillow? It is sounding good to me right now, I'd kill for a comfy lay-down spot over lunch!

Ugh, wake me up at the end of the first trimester, I want to enjoy the rest.

I haven't really been making dinner, to nauseous at night to put effort into it. Not terribly exhausted, def. lacking energy, and I am asleep before 10pm every night.

I just went to Safeway yesterday to buy anything that can be prepared by microwaving it, boiling it, putting it on bread, or pouring milk on it. Since hubby is away on business until the 23rd, my 14 yr old will be the cook. My 5 yr old is being babysat by ghost shows on TV I won't usually let him watch, while my 23 month old plays with the light switches and the dog's food.

I am exhausted, but my heart is racing, I am overwhelmed with an anxious feeling I have no explaination for.

Mmmmm, I didn't think of that. I had a second cup of coffee that I wondered might be the cause, but I bet my extreme exhaustion combined with fluctuating blood sugars, caffeine, hormones, and stress may be the culprit.

Oh, the tiredness is the worst. Im sleeping 8-9 hours at night, and Im STILL feeling like Ive been awake for days. And the tiredness exascerbates my nausea, and my crankiness....its awful. Im 6w6d right now....is it really possible that this will last (or get worse!) for another 5-6 weeks?!

Last time, I was almost done with month 4 before this stopped (that and the puking).

Argh.

DS has been sleeping with me lately and that has helped a lot. DH is going to be super annoyed when he gets home from travel (but dang, a girl needs her rest and getting up 3-4 times to deal with a teething toddler while I get up 2-3 times to pee is not helpful AT ALL).

Off to bed!

For me it's migraines...they're debilitating. We stopped by the local taco stand and got asada tacos on corn tortillas...cheap, yummy, and no effort on my part except chewing and swallowing. I just got done working 12 hours in a Neuro step-down unit with a migraine...so I don't care, as long as tummies are full.

Heck no, couldn't figure out how to manage sneaking one in! I considered using my purse for this purpose, but it was a no-go. My desk is solid on three sides (so from the door you can't see under) and I was pretty much curled up in the fetal position. I think, because we co-sleep and DD pretty much nurses on-and-off all night, I'm used to sleeping in uncomfortable position. Just realized that I've slept on my side with one arm over my head (head resting on my arm) since she's been born. Allows for easy access.

On a side note, I ordered some Floradix today. I have a history of pernicious anemia, and it got worse after I had DD (I did bleed quite a bit after delivery). I'm wondering if my anemia is "acting up"- the last time I felt this way was back in college, when I wasn't even pregnant, and I ended up with iron via iv. Ferrous iron (like the iron supplements docs give) do no good for me- I've been upping my herbs (nettles, alfalfa) too.

I take a Clorophyll supplement as well as nettles and alfalfa and K1 and K2.

Also, when I take my iron, I take it with Vit C and copper. Helps with absorption.

I have thalassemia and since I'm post weight-loss surgery, my iron tends to be low, but since starting Clorophyll my hemoglobin has been over 12!

Second that!!!

I have not missed one afternoon nap with my DD this week and today I actually convinced her to play solo a bit when she woke so I could keep my eyes closed a little longer. I already feel a bit like a zombie and i can't imagine my state in the evenings with out these afternoon time-outs...

I think it might be pizza tonight... Zzzzz

Sometimes it just hits me, and I must succumb. Luckily, it's been around DD's nap time or when I am working from home. I really need to get passed this phase as I have tons to do!
