Well, since other folks are asking, I thought I would too.

Anyone have any experience with the Waldorf School of Atlanta? We have Evie signed up for the Morning Garden program next year. I'm curious to hear if anyone has any thoughts about it. Run away? Best school ever?

TIA!

Hi there,
I don't know if you know, but there is a Waldorf homeschooling group in Atlanta called PeachCobblers - their blogspot is www.peachcobblers.blogpsot.com and if you join their Yahoo!Group there are lots of homeschooling folks whose children did attend Morning Garden and could give you feedback. I have heard positive things from past years but haven't heard much regarding recent years, so sorry to be of so little help...

I have a friend who moved to the school my dd goes to now from the WS in Atlanta. I don't know if it was a teacher issue or the general WS stuff. I will ask her and let you know. (her dd is much older than yours though)

Here is the link again: http://www.peachcobblers.blogspot.com/

It should come up with a field trip in April to a farm, the Donna Simmons workshop coming to Atlanta and other news like that. Why it would go to a Christian website, I have no clue. I am not very computer literate sometimes, maybe I typed it in wrong the first time? I copied and pasted the URL this time around, so I hope it works for everyone.

As far as ages of kids in the group, it is mixed. A pretty good core of young kids under the age of 7 but also kids over 9. Sparsest ages seem to be the 7-8 year old crowd. Quite a few sibling groups of at least two siblings.

Hope that helps, let me know what else i can do for you all....

Found this thread as I was searching info concerning this school. My family and I are moving to Atlanta in the summer and just spoke with the school. I'm not too familiar with the Waldorf education and was wondering how it went for you? Did you love it or "run away" from Waldorf School of Atlanta?
