I want to try and walk a mile each day in this pregnancy. I tend toward vein issues, and I want to keep my blood supply flowing nicely; plus it's on every pregnancy recommendation in "Prescription for Nutritional Healing." My friend who is a midwife and pregnant with #8 says it's the best thing to do for keeping your body well during pregnancy.<br><br>
But I'll never do it if I don't commit. So, who's with me? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/jog.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Jog">

Me!<br><br>
I am really struggling with my mood at the moment, and I know this will do me the world of good. I was walking and sprinting, but have stopped with family visits, holidays etc.<br><br>
I really do have to do this.

I will DEFINITELY do it! My natural tendency is to sit around all the time, so I am going to really try hard to counteract that and stay in better shape! And it's beautiful outside here, so there's no reason not to!

This is such an awesome idea, one of the midwives I interviewed said a brisk walk right after you eat in the morning, even just for 20 minutes, sets up your metabolism for the entire day and is the very best thing for combating mid-morning fatigue in pregnancy. I would love to get into the habit of walking each morning on the walking trail behind my house.

I'm feeling so lethargic, but getting moving is an absolute necessity.

Didn't walk, but I did play on my WiiFit for 35 mins... does that count? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

OK, I'm in! I had to give up my gym membership and WW online, but walking I can do. Thanks for starting this!

Alright! Just got back from a 2 mile walk with my bff.<br><br>

May 1 - meh. A little gardening doesn't really count.<br>
May 2 - 1 mile (to our local farmer's market and back). Decent, but I can do MUCH better!
