While at walmart today my daughter picked a set of twin baby dolls off the shelf. It had a little plastic carry case with two little dolls and a bunch of accessories in the pouch underneath. I assumed I would have to throw out two of them (bottles) because I don't allow my daughter to play with dolls that have baby bottles but when I opened it up I was very presently surprised that there were none! there was fake baby powder, shampoo and body lotion and a little teddy bear but no bottles. I was really surprised and quite impressed! Yay for walmart for at least selling one doll that does not have a bottle or pacifier with it.

You should write a thank you letter. I wonder if it was intentional not having a bottle.

I'm wondering about throwing out the bottles thing, b/c my dd looooves baby bottles and says that there's breastmilk in them We've babysat quite a few times for moms who pumped, so it's just a variation of normal for her. However, I do try to buy babydolls without bottles. It just makes me feel odd, for some reason.

But, good for Walmart! I would looooove to find something like that. That is really cool.

We found some of the magic milk (you know where the liquid disappears) sippy cups at walmart for my dd. they were like $2 for a 2 pack. can't go wrong. she gets to give her baby something without it being a bottle.

and we always throw out bottles. I usually let them play with them for a little while if they are old enough to notice and then get rid of them later.
