Hi Ladies!

I just finished it and the Mama said I could publically share it. I always try to shoot from angles that preserve as much discretion as possible while still capturing the experience. I havent been to any birth since I found out I was pregnant and it just made me so happy to do the production on this video.. I thought some of you would enjoy it.

This was one of my favorite births *ever*. It was a childbirth hypnosis and doula client who had a beautiful homebirth. She had a hospital birth with her first and ended up tearing pretty badly with almost a 4th degree. Her biggest fear with this birth was tearing. About 2:20 into the video you can see her vocalizing because the baby's head is starting to crown. I had to do a hypnosis queue and a little bit of deepening and visualization for her at that time to help her slow down the crowning and anesthesize the ring of fire, you see my hand on her shoulder. What I love about this video is how you can see after that she floats so peacefully. She made very little sound after that queue and she didnt tear at all See how patient the midwife is even though the head has been born? Nobody is screaming at her to push..

I use very similar queues to HypnoBabies, even though my philosophies of birth diverge greatly in some ways, so any of you planning HypnoBabies births .. this is what it can look like!

Yes, baby was crowning! I was so amazed by her calm concentration and how she breathed that baby down and out through her fears.

It was a little girl. 8 lbs 6 oz.

That was so beautiful, thank you for sharing! I can never get over how I can watch birth videos and be perfectly fine until the instant mom's hands are on baby....and then I immediately go into the ugly cry until the video is over!!

Wow, I wish I could have you at my birth - for the hypnosis as well as the gorgeous photos and video. You are multi talented!

Thanks, everyone. This is truly one beautiful family and it shows through the lens. I try really hard to do my best for every birth I attend in whatever capacity it is. I feel so honored to be able to share that space.

Thanks, bluepetals. <3 I wish I could be at your birth! The great thing about hypnosis and childbirth is that your partner can do what I did. In the video he has his hand on her shoulder, which is one of the HypnoBabies queues too.. and if I wasnt going to be there and the family wanted to, he could totally have been trained to do the deepening and visualization. I was a doula for 6 years before I became a hypnotherapist and really believe in the power of hypnosis in birth and in the whole birth year.

Im so glad you guys got to see this beautiful birth!

Oh my gosh- totally bawling over here. SOOO beautiful. Just out of curiosity-- (as a doula and childbirth ed in training...always looking for more information)--how is what you do different from Hypnobirthing? I've supported a few clients who have prepared with hypnosis (hypnobabies/birthing and others) and would love to hear a slightly different approach.

Since Im not taking clients anytime soon and this isnt an advertisement hopefully answering this question doesnt violate anything and just gives you more of an idea on different hypnosis modalities as they pertain to childbirth. I went ahead and sent you a message privately just incase. I want this thread to be about this awesome birth not my divergences with very popular programs that have helped lots of women on these boards.
