My friend who I converted to CD bought me a beautiful brand new turquiose FB. I can't get over how soft. Anyway, do I need to wash this several times before I use it? Can I wash it with my regular diaper load?

Also my friend bought the FBs with microterry inserts. She also got some hemp doublers. How does she have to wash all that before using them? I told her I didn't think she could throw the hemp in with the FBs and inserts just yet, but I don't know for sure because I've never had a brand new diaper before.

The FB only needs to be washed once before use.
NEW hemp should be prepped before use, which usually means washing it a few times in the hottest water (I actually boil mine for about 20 minutes, then toss in a hot wash) with a small amount of detergent and dried on a hot setting. After it has been prepped like this, it can be safely washed with the FB's. There's no special prep. needed for the microfiber inserts.

I usually don't wash hemp with my synthetic (FB's, HH, etc.) for a while. It takes some time before all of the natural oils are out of the hemp, and it can kind of "hammer" your other diapers a little bit more---more wear and tear I guess.
