Washing new prefolds...

Just got some new toddler ucpfs.
When you are washing the oils out of new prefolds do you wash them all by themselves, or do you think it's okay to wash them with your other diaper laundry?

I've always washed mine by themselves - I'd be afraid the oils would somehow "stick" to my other diapers - that would be my luck anyway :LOL

I always boil brand new ubcpfs. It seems to help speed the "fluffing" process.

Big pot+lots of water+squirt of dish soap=great results!

Thanks! Pills and gunk on my other dipes do not sound good! I think I'll go with boiling since I only got 6 and I feel guilty running multiple washloads just for them.
I never could wash a dipe 3-5 times just to break it in, that's just too much wasted water in my brain. I wash 'em once, then lay a piece of already broken in fabric (doubler, wipe, whatever) against baby's skin to let the pee wick into the new fabric. Sure they're not as absorbant right away, but I'm ok with that.
