This morning I woke up went to the bathroom and then brushed my teeth. I came downstairs to make breakfast for the boy and all of a sudden my pj pants were wet. I grabbed a wad of paper towel and shoved it in my pants. By the time I was done with packing the lunch the paper towel was soaked. I am sitting on the couch now and don't appear to be "leaking" anymore.

Could this be my water? If I hadn't just used the bathroom before coming down I might have though I just peed in my pants. My water was broken for me late in labour last time around so I don't really know what it feels like.

HELP please!!!!

Not in your DDC, but heres what I would do. I know it is kind of gross, but smell it... smell like pee? or does it smell like nothing or sweet?
Also, lay down and then get back up does it gush again?

My water broke with my last one and it was not one big gush it was smaller ones everytime I got up or moved much.

When in doubt call your CP and ask... They have a simple PH test to check..

HUGS...
How does it smell? Clear amniotic fluid may have an earthy smell, or none at all. Pee, well you know what that smells like.

I've had this problem lately where the baby gets into a funky position at night, so when I let out my bladder it doesn't empty completely. I have to get up, let baby move a bit, then go pee again.

Have you had any contractions?

Lay down for a while - if its amniotic fluid it will 'pool' in your vagina and when you stand up you will get a small gush of fluid. If not, it was probably urine and try not to worry.

So I went to the midwife for a swab and it turns out that I am leaking. Not gushing, leaking. She checked my cervix and didn't see anything flowing out, only pooling. Told to take it easy and report any changes.

Gotta cook this baby a little longer!

Oh glad to see you writing back! I've been dying waiting to hear an update from you! So... you're leaking... what's the next step? What are her policies/protocols for this? Are you on the clock or what?

I had a bit of a leakage issue around 35 wks with my last pg. I was told that sometimes small tears will self heal. I don't know how accurate that is.

Hoping your baby stays in longer!!!!!!
