Is it okay to put a birthing pool on the second floor of a house?

The horrid set up of our house means the only place I could put the birth pool is upstairs. Downstairs in our house there is only a half bath and the living room... my bedroom, the full bath, kitchen etc is all upstairs so I'll be giving birth up there. I am not doing stairs while in labour!

So will the second floor be okay??

yep no problem! Think... would you feel comfortable having 20 really big heavy men stand in one room at the same time. You probably would be fine with that and they would probably weigh more than your birth pool will. There really isn't enough water in your pool to be concerned about the weight.

(I bet you'd feel comfortable totally filling a room with people on your 2nd floor... you know like as many as you could stuff in there... the floor would be fine!)

Just have a good plan for draining!
