Hello all!

I'm looking for some waterproof training pants that my DD can wear at night, as her "nighttime undies". She is pretty well day potty trained, and was almost never wet waking up in the morning. So one night, she said she no longer wanted to wear a diaper at night (fuzzibunz) that she wanted undies. So rather than battle over it, I started letting her wear her regular training undies (gerber ones) at night. Well, a few nights ago, she wet during the night. This wouldn't be such a problem if it were in her own bed (a lot less linens to change) but it was in our bed (king size, so everything is HUGE, plus it got on the sheets and the quilt and the mattress pad). Practically a whole day's worth of laundry. It would be lovely to find something I can pass off as "nighttime undies" with her, until she is solidly not wetting at night. I really don't think she'll go back to her diapers. Can anyone recommend something? Bummis? Or is there another approach to use? She is so independent and so wants to be "all grown up" and I don't want to crush that. Last night when she came to our room in the middle of the night, I took her to the potty first, and that went okay. But it sure would be nice to have a little "safety net."

Thanks mamas!

I don't think you are going to find a trainer that works well that way. Trainers...train. So the kids is going to feel it wish won't be good for her skin because it doesn't wick. And they aren't very aborbant. We also use a waterproof (cheapo thick cotton from BRU) under the kids when we cosleep. No way I am doing that much laundry without some prevention.

If you search the cloth diapering board I've seen several suggestions for someone on hyena cart or etsy who makes something that LOOKs like a trainer for nightime but absorbs pee and protects the skin like a diaper.

I've found that the ones I recommended (Happy Heiney's) do work very much like a diaper. They are nice and snug around her legs and are stuffable like a pocket diaper, so they can be very absorbant.

I use a Baby Kicks hemp insert. I like them because they are a really trim, yet really absorbent insert. I haven't used them for overnight, but we use them when we go to church because DD gets too distracted by all the kids and new toys to bother using the potty even though she's 100% at home. There is plenty of room in there though for more inserts and I plan on using them at night once starts ever being dry overnight.
