We are colonized...

Both my dh and I have fungal (yeast) infections in our suprapubic area
. Our osteopath prescribed an antifungal. Should we use it or are there other better options. We both currently are taking probiotics and are in the process of washing all of our clothing/bedding with oxy bleach. Are there any ideas for us?

Yogurt...Plain. Worked for me and the baby.
Eating it or smearing it on the rash?

I've struggled with yeast most of my adult life. I take acidophillus supplements daily, eat homemade plain yogurt (I usually flavor with vanilla bean and stevia), and avoid sugars. The only time in my life it was completely under control (nonexistent, really) was when I was eating a low carb diet.

Now that I'm pg, I'm a mess again. All it took was a couple of months on bread (yeasty carbs despite being whole grain) and lots of summer fruits and I had a RAGING infection. I did several rounds of antifungal creams just to get to a point where I was comfortable. So, if yours is that bad, use the creams. Otherwise, try diet, yogurt, and supplements.

do a search on here. if it is internal to- you can put some yogurt up there to.... i have also heard of putting a garlic clove up there.? on here.

good luck... i feel your pain.
Both The cool yogurt really feels good on the itchies.
I'm currently preparing a yogurt bath. I figured that some people take milk baths, so.....

Hopefully this will work out. I do eat yogurt every day and I've been taking probiotics.
