So of course a few days after I post all frustrated in the late starters thread, she decides to try again . I had been very easy going with her and not making a big deal about her peeing all over the house, but wondering why she was just refusing to get on the potty except first thing in the morning. After weeks and weeks, my husband tells me, "take her with you when you go to the bathroom and let her watch, it could help." Well, he was right (go daddy )! Now she watches me pee, which she finds very amusing, and then I put her up on her potty seat on the big potty and she goes :. She has been making peepee sounds and grabbing herself when she needs to go, too. I'm just so proud of her. Ok, trying to not get ahead of things, she could go on another strike any day. . .

YEAH That is awesome. My 17 month old DD loves going on her little potty while I go on the big one. I find it really useful to have lots of different pottying options. Sometimes she likes to go on the big toilet with the insert, or without, or on the potty while I am on the toilet, or on the potty while playing etc...

It is so awesome when you have a few good days it really helps build momentum and motivation.
