We have and will have about 6 months of craziness!! The house buying process has been such a PITA, we finally closed today w DF having to sign papers and fax because he is away at training for work. We get the keys and start moving on 15th, baby due Ausgustish and then wedding in October. Ahh, so happy to have the house and relived that we decided on a turn key rather than fixer uppers that we were looking at.
Thanks for letting me share our good news w you all!
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a64...2ca1eb41ad.jpg
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a64...04e6717adf.jpg
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a64...b57eb58b07.jpg
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a64...276c86b1f7.jpg

I agree with PinkBunch: a really lovely home!

Oof, I'm so envious! We live in a 1-bedroom co-op, and given the CoL around here, won't be moving any time soon!

Enjoy setting up your new digs!

Thank you ladies, nesting has kicked in so I'm so ready to be settled in one place... on the plus side I should stay motivated to unpack quickly.

I giggled when I read the 2 "lovely" comments, I was just watching a show where they talked about in the south they use "lovely" when trying to be tactful and not say something is ugly.

Phew, I'm glad I said it was "gorgeous" and not "lovely."

We just bought our first house last summer and I'm so looking forward to birthing in a house we own instead of an apartment we rent.

Congratulations. It's a beautiful house. I'm so envious. We really need a bigger house. We bought our house 4 years ago, right before the economy tanked. My husband's in sales, so our income was hit hard. We've been struggling to make the house payments. Things are looking better, but our credit to a hard hit, so there's no way we can get a different house for awhile. But now, that we've got a 4th boy on the way and only 1350 sq feet, we're really need more space. I'm hoping that by the time the new baby's really getting around (and into things ) we'll be able to upsize our house.

the house looks good ! love the shutters in your kitchen /eating area windows (?) and the actual grass in your backyard!
We thought we had grass here but it has proven to be weeds over the last 9 months
Do you know who the builder is?

D.R, Horton is the builder, it's only a few blocks from where we are renting. I stayed in this area because we like the kids school and didn't want to make them move again. Most likely DF will stay in military and we will only be here for a few years so I'm a little nervous about buying. I love the plantation shutters, they are throughout the bottom floor. And real hardwood floors, we've had wood laminate for so long! The formal dining room is the only room we don't really know what to do w.... we'd never use it for it's intended purpose.
Thank you all for the comments, we get thekeys in 2 weeks , owners are buying a new home as well so we are doing lease back.
