Well....Jaryn was a year old on 4-16 and we are still breastfeeding. I have had a rough road but I guess compared to a lot it has been easy. I have struggled with having to suppliment with formula, but with support of family and you guys I am ok with it. I have used every measure and done everything I know to try to increase my supply, but I have faced that I just don't respond to a pump like I should. Jaryn still gets 90% or more of his food from me and that's better than nothing. I still enjoy breastfeeding him, if not more as he gets older because he is sooo funny. I cannot see weaning him anytime soon. My goal is 2 years and if after that he still isn't ready to stop we will continue. I never saw myself saying I would go that long but it is not only the best nutrition for him, but it's a bond that he and I have with no one but us and I love that. I still see him as a baby where some think it's too old. Oh well...he's mine and I know what's best for him. I just wanted to share my excitement of being able to breasfeed my son for a year so far. Thanks to all of you who have given advise and a shoulder to whine on. :
