I know we don't seem to do well with weekly threads but I want to try again. I like just chatting about every and anything.<br><br>
Lately for me I've been noticing my lower belly feeling strange. I guess it's the stretching.<br><br>
I saw my acupuncturist this weekend to help with the sickness and she took my pulses and predicted a girl. I also had a dream that it was a girl right before finding out, so now I feel pretty sure.<br><br>
My sickness has let up some since the acu. I think that helped but maybe also time is helping.<br><br>
So what's new with you ladies?<br><br>

I have my first appt. tomorrow morning, finally! I so badly wanted dh to be able to go so he could at least hear the heartbeat before he leaves, but he's got a mandatory training tomorrow. So, I'm on my own. I have a strong gut feeling that there's twins in there, so I'm really hoping that I'm measuring large or they hear two heartbeats so we can get an ultrasound.

Not much new here. Sometimes I find it hard to believe I'm pregnant cause I feel sooo much better than last time. I had the energy to help DH clean the whole yard, as well as our boulevard and that of our two neighbours. I don't think the yard has ever been this clean, this early in the year. I can't wait to plant the garden.<br><br>
Oh! I got asked if I was pregnant last week by someone I know quite well. I guess they noticed at our weekly potluck that I was not quite as flat around the middle as usual, plus I was really tired. I did fess up so it's only a matter of time before that gets around.

I think we've just been feeling too awful to keep up a weekly thread... I'll bet anything we'll have it coming together within a month.

I feel awful. This weekend, I thought the "morning" sickness was subsiding, but today, I can barely keep anything down. DH has a huge (actuarial) test on Friday and I'm just trying to live through then. This is number five of nine and every one at this point (the couple weeks before) I feel so drained of them. It's especially hard this time around being pregnant and having a little one. Ah well, we'll survive... We have our next prenatal appointment tomorrow; I am excited about that! Our first appointment (four weeks ago) was with a midwife who is new to the (two-person) team as of my last pregnancy, and the one tomorrow is with the midwife who attended DS's birth. We loved her!! It'll be fun to see her again tomorrow. How are you all sleeping (dream-wise)? Last night I felt like the first half of the night I was having nightmares...about the VA Tech tragedy...the second half of the night I slept so lightly that it hardly felt like sleep.<br><br>
okay, enough complaining...ds is asking for a bath, so I'm going to go attempt that....

<b><span style="font-size:medium;"><span>WooHoo! 12 weeks today!</span></span></b> That's what's up this week. Oh, and on Saturday, someone actually came up to me and asked if I was pg. No one has ever been able to tell this early before, so I thought that was cool.<br><br>
Last night I had this dream I was already full term and in labor and I was 6 cm dilated and not in pain. I could feel contractions, but they weren't painful. Must have been because I watched one of our dogs have puppies yesterday.

Yup, we are fast approaching the end of the first trimester here too which feels great! Edwina, I'm with you right now. I'm feeling pretty good which is hard to believe considering how icky I felt in the beginning. But I am eating much better with this babe, so I hope that has something to do with it.<br><br>
Energy is still running lower than norm, but that is okay. I just have to clean my house this week before my best friend comes in to town on Thursday...<br><br>
We had a great weekend with beautiful weather. Got the whole extended family together for a bbq and told the rest that didn't already know about the babe. It was a lot of fun.<br><br>
Now if only it would be the weekend again! I don't WANT to sit here and work <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I am still totally exhausted. and the more tired I am, the more nauseated I get.<br><br>
This pregnancy is completely different than any of my others. And I have no idea what it is, which is not normal for me either.<br>
DH jokes and says it is twins. I tell him to bite his tongue! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> But I did have this same confusion before when we had twins...I didn't know what the gender was until after I had m/c one of them.<br><br>
I am going in for an accupuncture visit this weekened and I am very excited.<br><br>
Other than that, I am lounging on the couch trying to function

I've been wearing maternity shirts a lot lately. So I'm much more comfortable. But I still think I look like a mom with a poochy belly. And that's just fine with me--<i>I</i> know what's really in there. Behind the actual and voluminous pooch, that is.<br><br>
I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday. A big milestone!<br><br>
My second midwife appointment is tomorrow. I fine them very, very boring at this point. We don't do doppler or ultrasounds. So I walk in, pee and weigh, chat with the friendly midwife, lay down so she can check my uterus, and walk out. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> But, this time, my husband and kids will go along. So it should be fun for them.

I've been wearing maternity clothes for a few weeks now, I'm really popping early with this one! Starting to slowly feel better, which is about the same time i started feeling better with dd (9 weeks) Haven't been able to feel my uterus yet, but I'm sure my midwife will be able to tomorrow(our first appt with her) She'll also try to hear the hb with the doppler, but not holding my breath yet. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

My second O appt is next Thursday, although I don't know what they're going to do at that appt. I guess that they just want to keep very careful track of where the babies are and how they're doing. I know they were happy that there were two placentas, and it looked like two amniotic sacs, so they were pretty safe as far as typical twin complications. I think the main worry is space and how soon I deliver them.<br><br>
I've been feeling a little better, although today I felt yucky all day. Really sleepy and my tummy is just overall unhappy. I have some pants in a size bigger than normal, which is good because my body just does not want to fit into my normal pants anymore, at least not without my bella band to hold them up, cause I can't button them!

Stacie, I had a dream that I had a painless (truly!) labor and delivery and out came a healthy little girl. I also had another dream where the dr's told me and dh they were giving me oxygen but they really gave me some drug and I was unable to recall any of my labor/delivery. They took the baby to the nursery immediately. When they brought her back, dh's whole family was there and I said I needed to see my baby first since I hadn't seen her yet. They handed me a cabbage patch looking baby with a stupid binky in her mouth. I looked at the child and said, "give that stupid binky so I can see your face child." Then the doll turned into a real baby. It was a very odd dream. In all of my dreams, the baby has been a girl, but I really think that's only because that's all I've ever experienced. I don't trust my intuition and I really have no feeling about the gender either way. I have no clue.

Crazy, crazy, crazy dreams/ I've always had dreams that I was in a war or combat of some type, but lately it's all so clear. Like, if I saw a topographical map I could tell you exactly where it was. Things are just so fluid from one part of a dream to the next. It's amazing. I don't have many scary dreams, but then I really limit my Current Events intake.<br><br>
I'm feeling *better* as in I don't have the constant urge to hurl. I can drink water again! For some reason every time I'd have even a little water it would make me feel overly full. I've been getting by with diluted juice, but I've finally be able to just drink a glass of water.<br><br>
I am immensely grateful that Titus still takes a two hour nap. That means I get a two hour nap <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> I'm usually pretty wiped out around dinner and food isn't so interesting, so we've had som pretty lame meals. I did manage to "go all out" and make terriaki chicken, California rolls and miso soup last night. That all was surprisingly easy and nothing had an overwhelming smell so I was ok after dinner even.<br><br>
I have a friend coming to town for a relative's wedding but she likes me more than them so she's going to stay with me <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> I'm SUPER excited because she's the only person i'm close to IRL who's into anything "crunchy" when it comes to childbirth and parenting. She's got a little girl a month younger than Titus and is 20something weeks pregnant for the first time (I could clarify her DD is adopted I suppose) so she's got a ton of birth and BF'ing questions for me. It's so nice to have someone not look at me like I've got two heads when I say my 16mo needs to nurse!

Oh, I've been having crazy dreams too. So vivid and insane.<br><br>
The acupuncture really help my sickness. I'd recommend it to anyone if they could swing one visit.<br><br>

I can't believe the differences between this pregnancy and my pregnancy with DS. I was only sick one week. It makes me nervous that I am not really pregnant.<br>
I haven't seen a dr or midwife yet. i will see the midwife on May 3rd. It seems like a long time away. I will be 12 weeks this coming Sunday, but my own set due date. I don't really believe in due dates. They make me laugh.<br><br>
I have been so exhausted and my boobs hurt a lot. I was not tired and my boobs did not hurt with ds.<br>
I hope everyone starts feeling better soon. I am so greatful for the ddc. I love reading all the messages. Thank you for all the support we give each other!<br>

Back from the midwife. It was boring, as I expected. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> But that's a good thing, right?<br><br>
My uterus is a good size, great growth. I'm feeling less sick most days. The kids loved the midwife because she gave them stickers. My husband was there to chase them around and keep them from climbing the walls.<br><br>
I won't be back to the Midwife Center until 18 weeks because we'll be travelling until then. Things will be much bigger then!

12 plus weeks for me ! wow! I am feeling better this week but still totally exhausted, but at least the nausea only comes in patches now as opposed to 24/7, esp around dinner time (great!) I have my level 1 1st tri screening us and blood this thurs.. hopefully that will satisfy DH and I can just get on with being PG and lose the worry.. The weather finally has improved (for now) in the Northeast quad of the US so that has been great.<br><br>
I finally picked up a few maternity tops, I just could not hold my stomach in to button my pants another day! rubberbands and pins for me for a month or so then I am sure I will have to buy the bottoms to go along with!<br><br>
I have my HS reunion MAy 5th (25th GASP!!) I can't wait to go to a luncheon looking quite fat and NOT pG !! I think I'll wear a sign! Heaven only knows what I'll wear?? it needs to be fairly dressy sorta garden party-ish,, man, I don't want to buy a dress right now... anyway, it will be very nice tho.. I went to a small all girls private school so we all knew eachother very well ( only 52 girls in my grad class)<br><br>
going to an autsim awareness Phillies game on Sat and gonna try to take the kids to the circus on Sunday... that's all for this week!<br>
