Yeah, me neither! Just kidding. I have goals, but I went from a motivation level of about 8 (on a 10 scale) to 1 last week, and this week I hope people around me feel lucky that I'm motivated enough to brush my teeth. I have to get my butt in gear, here.

Okay, let's start with something easy:

- Buy hangers for baby clothes that need to be hanged- finished
- Hang said clothes, to get them out of Co-Sleeper- finished
- Finish organizing diapers- finished... for now
- Find a temporary spot for diapers- finished
- Buy a toothbrush for the dog- finished. Nothing's more hilarious than brushing a dog's teeth!
- Get rid of dead plant material around growing plant material in pots
- Organize pots in a cute way in a half-sun, half-shade area near kitchen, and start planting herbs

*finish packing - at least one box a day, and I've been averaging about three a day so far and hopefully I can keep that up (only about one more box of books to go and then I get to start on knicknacks! There are much fewer knicknacks than there are books, thank goodness...)

*E-mail everyone who expressed interest and availability to come and help us move this Saturday a reminder about what time we'll be starting and the fact that we will feed them dinner afterwards if they can stay.

*Not be a total wreck during dinner tomorrow night : It's my FIL's birthday and it'll be the first time that I've seen him or step-MIL in about a year... step-MIL spread nasty rumours all over town about us the last time we had dinner with them I also need to figure out what on earth dd and I are going to wear...

Short list, but so much work *sigh*

love and peace.

Goals?! We don't need no stinkin' goals!
This is week two of basic survival goals for me. My parents are coming on Friday, so I'm not going to have a weekend to do wild and crazy cleaning. So, just an all-over spot cleaning before they come.
Dh continues to nest, cleaning his office and the basement. So, more power to him.
Tomorrow, I have to make a grocery list for when my parents are here.
Then vacuum. Mop kitchen floor.
My parents are bringing us a giant cabinet that my mom found and refinished. So, we'll have to rearrange some things to make a home for it.
Can I just add that the darned Fly Lady was right. Cleaning my house is sooooooo much easier and less intimidating now that I've spent the previous weekends decluttering every room. I feel like all I do now is dust and vacuum. Yay!

Oops! I knew I forgot something this week. Thanks Clara!

I finished almost everything from last week except for cleaning out the freezer, making aios and covers, and finishing Bella's diaper bag. The contractions threw me off of sewing a bit.

This week:
-Make (buy??) some covers and aios- Since my machine refuses to sew pul, I need to use my mil's machine and hope her machine will work with my pul.made 4 aios...I think that counts for now
-Take Benji to see his girlfriend. He fell in love with a fairy at the Ren. Faire last yearcheck...I will have to post pictures when I get them off dh's camera
-Keep purging the house.
-Get Benji's bulb garden planted (this depends on dh prepping the garden for him).
-Make something(s) for the nurserymade the curtains...yea.
-Sew up at least 10 items current total:13

My goals are to finally finish some of the things I have been "in the process of" for many weeks now. I keep getting distracted by other cleaning/organizing tasks..and the nice weather!

We are going to be out of town several weekends in May though--so I REALLY need to get somethings done. NOW! This is one of the last really low key weekends I will have for many weeks.

So:

Finish cleaning out office--so I can start to organize it in a better way asap. Not so much. I am hoping to make a little progress on this later today...but I am not counting on it..if it gets done, it gets done..but it probably will not.

Finish organizing laundry area. Need DH's help for the rest of this job...and we are never home at the same time. Trying to figure out that one--hopefully next week.

Finish laundry pile --yes, I am actually almost done with this one! Only like 3 loads left to go!!!! This has actually become my ONE goal for today. It is possible for me to finish this and FINALLY get it caught up if I stay on top of it all day.

List of kids summer clothing needs for our shopping trip the weekend after this one. Not so much. I just have a general idea of what they need at this point..so that is something!

Purge all of the books in boxes from the basement and take them to SOME PLACE that will let me get rid of them. Which will clear out sooo much more room in the basement! This I also need DH to help me with..and again, we are never home at the same time. Grr. I may get to purging the books that are upstairs today...we will see.

Clean out under kitchen sink and the kitchen cupboards. Not so much.

Take all stuff purged to charity with the books Also not going to happen this week.

Buy another package of cloth diapers. (I did get 6 all in ones back from my brother/sister in law last weekend! That helped my collection quite a bit...but I still need more...and suddenly it seems really close..in terms of not having everything ready. Yikes!) YES! I DID THIS!!!! I bought a dozen more kissaluvs and they should be here soon!!! My mom also ordered 6 for us and 6 fuzzi bunz for a little later on (size medium)...and a dirty diaper bag too . So, at least the diaper stash is well underway!

This week, my goals are very simple.

RELAX

That's it. Iv'e been working hard, my body is physically tired and I'm mentally worn out right now. So I'm not doing anything over and above the regular daily routine. For example, yesterday morning I took a nice long shower, MT and I dropped some clothes off at the consignment shop and I used my credit there to buy a pair of maternity shorts. Then we stopped for ice cream on the way home. Had a lunch of leftover fried rice (yes, we're STILL eating that), and while he napped, I napped as well. On the patio. In the sun. It was fantastic. I even laid there sans swimsuit top, and I felt soooo relaxed and free. GOt up after an hour or so, gave myself a quick manicure and painted my toes. See where this is going? NOWHERE! Which is my entire goal for this week.

So far, I'm right on track.

People hang baby clothes???

Goal #1: survive week without head exploding due to excess tantrumming from four year old

Goal #2 survive week without head exploding due to dumb comments by my spouse

Goal #3 survive week without head exploding due to reading the "only ten weeks to go" thread.

My goal for this evening (now that I know what I'm going to wear) is to relax and not start crying in the middle of the meal I liked it better when we never saw FIL or step-MIL : I'm so nervous... dd's teething... and our landlord just hit us with $95 extra (that we don't have... so we get to break into our meagre savings...) to pay along with the higher rent on the 1st... :

trmpetplaya- You can do it! Sending you strength and ignore vibes right now!

velcromom- I know. We have some dressier clothes that were given to us, some hand-me-down dress shirts and sundresses (if this baby's a girl) that I don't want to cram into the drawer (although ask me in about three months if I care about clothes, LOL!)

Ugh. Still need to buy a toothbrush for the doggy. Why is she getting stuff on her back teeth? We only feed her crunchy food (Pedigree, even though their commercials make me cry) and she has a toy that's supposed to brush her teeth...

One more goal: Sew the zipper into the ducky bunting so it can finally be finished.

*Sigh*

I will update my old post. Not such a productive week. It would really help if dh and I didn't have completely opposite schedules..and we could send the kids to grandma's for a weekend and get EVERYTHING done...but no. I try to do all of this stuff alone on the weekend (he works 36 hrs over Sat. and Sun.)...and it is not working out very well.

Well, I did pretty much nothing outside of regular household upkeep this week, and even managed to lay out in the sunshine twice during MT's naptime. So since my goal was to do nearly nothing, I'd say I did pretty well.

I am SO EXCITED!!!! Two major goals settled this afternoon!!

1. Clean up office space. Last weekend, DH finally got my desk and bookshelves anchored to wall so they'll support books, etc. We moved into this house last July lol so it's about time! And I lost my excuse for having such a mess of an office space. It's been hanging over me all week that I need to get this done and I finally just sucked it up and did it today. HOORAY!! I feel SO MUCH better. Will be easier to concentrate on work this week, too.

2. While I was at it, decluttered and cleaned up my walk in closet. It had a large island of unpacked boxes to contend with - not that I unpacked them ALL (tho I did get quite a bit of that done, too) but at least I re-sorted the area so that I could stack things against the wall better and clear out that island. Now I can get to my clothes without trying to navigate the belly through narrow little aisles lol.

Next on the list is for DH to get my upright freezer running. It's been standing unplugged in the garage since we moved in. Unfortunately, the garage needs some rewiring to handle the freezer, so it's a bit of a tedious chore for DH. Once he gets that done, however, I can start stocking that puppy for postpartum!

I'm trying to resist the baby laundry task. I really want to wash all the stuff we have for Jake. But I don't want to have to do it AGAIN later and it probably is too early to start on that now, yes?

Most of today was a bust since I went with dh to film a commercial. I did finish the diaper bag before we left so that was a big thing to mark off the to-sew list. Phew! Also, since we weren't home all weekend, the house still looks pretty good! I guess that is the key to a good Monday. Just stay out of the house all weekend!
