Thanks! I'll be checking this out...

I get to spend the rest of my morning drinking enough water to drown me .... in preparation for the U/S this afternoon DH doesn't want to find out gender this time, we did both times before, so I'm going to try it his way, don't expect a big exciting update about gender this afternoon!

I spent the weekend putting away Christmas decorations. Now my back is KILLING me. I did go up in the attic and lifted some things UP.. I also lifted a 50lb bag of grain about 20 ft. There was a lot of bending over when I was putting away the ornaments as well. Ugh :(

Wanted to pop in and mention that I started the bead swap signup thread.

I was also wondering what the interest is in a gift exchange/virtual baby shower and whether anyone is able to host something like that. That role is more organizational since participants send their gifts directly to the recipient. The host's job is to randomly match people, then distribute wishlists and addresses, as well as posting deadline reminders and whatnot. If there is a lot of interest in a gift exchange but no one wants to organize, I could probably do it, but I'd much rather spread the love if someone else can take it on

@SynEpona - Gender reveal or not, it's still exciting! I'm very much looking forward to mine in two weeks.

@Activia - I am so mentally ready to clean and organize the entire house right now, and my body wants no part in it. Totally frustrating!

@SynEpona they told me to drink 32 oz an hour before. It was totally sufficient, and I thought I was going to pee my pants walking from my car to the hospital. I didn't find out the sex either, and the ultrasound was a bit lame. But, I did get a great profile picture, so I posted it on facebook and announced that we were having a human. It got a lot of funny comments and congrats that the baby is healthy.

@Sihaya Yay for the bead swap! The virtual shower might be kinda cool too, but it totally sucks if someone get's shafted and I like that our group has no drama. Perhaps we could do a used stuff swap instead? We could post some of the types of things we're looking for, and if someone has something they could share, then they can pm a picture of what they've got, and then the recipient can help with postage. Or, if someone has some things they want to get rid of, they can post a picture and recipients can claim and pay for postage. Just a thought.

Twins! No gender yet, but we will be finding out, b/c I can't *not know* for two! The report will go to the midwives after the radiologist reviews it, and we'll find out both genders either by phone later this week, or at my next appointment at the end of the month. Not completely shocked, given my mega-weight-gain in the past months, but still wrapping our heads around fitting 2 into my car! and DD will now have to share her room with 2 ... and .... and ... and ... the planning has shifted quite a bit! I do anticipate them arriving in May, but I'm going to stick with this DDC

Holy crap!!! Would your midwife be open to some type of fun gender reveal thing? Have you shared the news with your family yet? Did you have any other signs other than weight gain? How was your fundal height. That's exciting for sure, but I'm sure it's a lot to take in too.

Wow, @SynEpona , that's huge news!!

I'm just trying to survive the week. I have a big work deadline Wednesday and I'm trying to stay awake long enough to get things done after my kids are in bed.

I write down my weight, waist at belly button, and hips every week and these last 2 weeks have had a big jump with the belly inches. Unless I'm wearing a sweatshirt, it's fairly obvious that I'm pregnant now and that's usually fun.

That's great news! Very exciting stuff.
I always thought having a two at a time would be nice so long as the symptoms didn't get doubly (or more!) worse. You'll have to let us know how it's going. I'm barely surviving one, but then again, some of our babies will be Geminis (my LO almost for certain) and that's a handful in itself (says the Gemini).

I like that idea, but maybe even as a used/elephant gift exchange. I have some things I could bundle already! Or how about an "extras" exchange for the crafty set. If one or two more of a particular item is made, it could be easier for all and nice to get something made by another mom. I love a good elephant exchange because almost everybody wins in goods received or sent out and definitely in terms of fun. I've never done a virtual one, though. I'll leave it to the moms who are less symptomatic and more organized, though. You can count on me for ideas, but those generally come even when the brain cells for efficiency and effectiveness have taken a holiday.

@SynEpona - wow! Super exciting! Such fun news! Congrats!!

I'm feeling great! Hope everyone is feeling good too. Probably the opposite of you guys- but spending a lot of time on the beach, walking and swimming. In my bikini about 90% of the day. Baby is growing and I feel little flutters of movement all the time!
Booked in for an ultrasound a week from today.

Been in search of a house. Think I mentioned before that my hubs and I have been living in a campervan for over a year now. So here's to house hunting!

Oh and here's a picture if our van.. To give you an idea.

Congratulations, @SynEpona!

I won't be online for a few days, so I'm glad I got to read all these great tidbits.

I found out yesterday that my MIL needs a ride to Boston for an appt. with a specialist tomorrow, so I'm heading off today. She lives about halfway there (3.5 hours from me), so I'll be taking the first half of my trip and spending the night with her and driving the second 3.5 hrs first thing tomorrow morning. I'm bringing 2yoDD with me and leaving the three who go to school home with DP. WIsh us luck.

If you find yourself on Kneeland St. around lunch time and you see a mildly pregnant woman with toddler & confused senior, that'll be us. (I'm hoping there will be a parking garage and I won't be required to parallel park in high traffic...)

LOL I dont live in Boston (I used to work on high street which isnt too far from there) anymore I'm in the burbs now... You'll probably need to find a parking garage as street parking is so limited especially during the week, a garage will cost you big money during the week (probably > $25 depending on how long you are going to be there) Just remember when you are driving in the city to do lots of "breathing" to stay calm lol. I remember when I was in college one of the first times I had to drive in the city and I ended up going the wrong way down a one way (whooops) a cop had to help me out at least he didnt give me a ticket! What do you expect from a girl that grew up in the country lol...omg between the T/walkers/bikers/other cars it's just so much stimulation..and that's when you know where you are going! It took me awhile to be able to drive around easily in the city...After driving in Boston as much as I did I think I can drive anywhere now.. It's a good experience to have lol

Here's a link so you can see the nearby garage's so you have some idea before you are in the thick of it: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=parking+garage+near+kneeland+street,+boston,+ma&hl=en&ll=42.349267,-71.060246&spn=0.007382,0.016512&sll=42.351527,-71.058991&sspn=0.007382,0.016512&t=h&hq=parking+garage&hnear=Kneeland+St,+Boston,+Massachusetts&fll=42.351099,-71.059549&fspn=0.007382,0.016512&z=17

Thanks, @Activia. I'll check the link. I'm definitely more at home driving in small towns! I never drive in the city without my GPS. So helpful for finding parking! And heads-up so I can be in the proper lane, etc. I had to drive in Raleigh frequently before we left NC. (I went to show support for midwifery legislation, so I was determined to make it!).

P.S. Please, everyone, send peaceful energy our way. MIL can drive me crazy sometimes. Love her, but she's so anxious...
