I'm awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake. It's 5:00am and I've been awake since sometime around 3:00. :

I was up a few times last night just laying in bed. I think when I have to pee my body doesn't always recognize that and I find that I'm just awake. Usually once I pee and get back in bed and all comfy I can fall back to sleep. I realized last night though that this is only the beginning and I can imagine it is going to be getting worse (the having to pee waking me up thing). Obviously, it will be a whole different story once baby is here!!

I had a nice relaxing weekend! I hope everyone is enjoying their Monday!

I'm so tired, yawn. If it's not my insomnia keeping me up then I'm itching like crazy or have to pee 5 times a night, or have a 2y old that keeps a death grip on my neck all night long. I can't help any of the other things but starting tonight, I'm going to work on getting DD2 to sleep with DH. Having her sleeping with me at night with a new baby just isn't work to work like it did when she was a baby and DD1 still slept with me. DD2 is a VERY light sleeper, every time I get up to pee, I wake her up, a newborn in the bed as well is just going to be miserable. DD1 just slept through everything, but that is not the case this time.

Nesting is starting to kick in. We got together our newborn clothes and have started talking about what we need for the baby

I'm starting to have baby/birth anxiety

The baby is transverse again. I think it's the universe's way of telling me I need to work on the twins birth :sigh: I don't want to or maybe it's just telling me I need to let go since baby clearly has room to move and isbtw wedged in my pelvis like dominic was...,

Tired here too! I keep staying up too late! DH has Sun, Mon and Tues nights off (hes a bartender) so i end up staying up super late with him. Its worth it but I feel EXHAUSTED the next day!!

My boss asked me about going to part-time instead of outright quitting. So I get Mat leave AND I get to work the events (they are SOOO fun!)! Im the "handler" for our zoo mascot so i get to walk around and interact with families and be in the sunshine. Its my fav part of work.

I keep saying Im having Chuck Norris' baby. She KICKS all the time!!! It seems like shes head down for now, so lets hope she stays like that.

I decided I love the name Coral for her middle name (we are ocean lovin' freaks) but dd1 HATES it. She said "I will NEVER call Sophia by her full name!! Ill call her Sophia BLANK (shouts it) Clementine W.": Wow! I guess she really doesnt like it!

In other news, Im HUNGRY again! I havent even wanted to look at food for about a month but couldnt sleep because of hunger the other night! Now Im hungry and it feels better to eat cause Im hungry than to eat out of obligation.:

Tired, oh so tired here too....I think it's partly because life is throwing me other problems, on top of being pregnant!! I can't sleep for thinking about all of it!

And last week or so I posted mom getting me crib, she still is, but didn't order it yet, and now it's not on sale, blah blah, so I am looking some more...kind of fun, found a few I hadn't seen, and actually went to BRU and checked some out this time, instead of reading reviews and recalls on line and only doing on line research. ANYwho I am excited, and ready for the big stuff to be done, so I can feel ready for baby.

On another note. I am having what I think are BH, not really painful but making my belly so tight it is taking my breath away, and not letting me stand straight up. I wonder if that's normal?? I am also getting kicked like crazy today, although it seems to go in spurts...sometimes I don't hardly get kicked at all and start to worry, then I get tons of kicks all in one day!!!

I could have written this! I have been having some serious Braxton Hicks as well. Not painful, but definitely very tight and uncomfortable. Also, I've been getting kicked today and I definitely go through the spurts (like this weekend) where I hardly feel him and then bam I feel him all the time! I guess they have more active days than others too? The Braxton Hicks were starting to concern me a little yesterday because they were happening when I was laying down too. Normally, I only feel them when I go from sitting to standing up and especially when I do this with a full bladder.

I know what you mean, I couldn't get away from the BH once they started. I was sitting, and walking around, then I took a shower, and finally I fell asleep last night, after laying there forever, and they aren't so bad today...woo hoo

But I did have a busy day yesterday with ds having a wrestling meet, we were gone from 7 am to 6:30 pm.....

I get BH when I lay down as well, they wake me up at night at times as well, as if I don't have enough already waking me up. The tightening and not being able to stand up straight all sound very familiar, I can't walk though mine most of the time. i wouldn't say they are that painful, very uncomfortable though. Just think of them as toning your uterus for the big event, or at least that is what I tell myself when they come one after another after another.

Is it wrong that it makes me feel better that you are all sleeping miserably too? DD is just making sleeping hard. I'm already not too comfy, and there are some nights when she wants to sleep ON TOP of me. She's getting better about it... But it's hard to remember that on nights when you've only slept 5 hours... and they weren't consecutive.

So who thinks I should be able to go to and utilize the batting cages in a couple of weeks?

Do you have a helmet for your belly??? LOL Do you do fastpitch? I'm thinking slow pitch softballs would probably be ok since the machines are pretty accurate...who knows...of course, I still think I should be able to go sledding too....

Ahhh, you have one of those as well? On top of me is DD2's preferred position, I started absolutely refusing a couple weeks ago because I just can't lay on my back anymore and now she has moved on to the death grip around my neck, I think on top of me was better then this! Gotta love those toddlers, but maybe not at night so much.

Slowpitch. I'm more concerned about the twisting motion pulling some weird muscle. I just don't want to be kept out of the loop this season. I expect to miss about a month of the season between April and May, but I plan to play in June and July at the very least. Plus, my little mascot will be there to cheer me on!

It's a lousy day for me too. The kiddos all had a cold last week, so I finally caught it on Saturday. The stupid thing went right down into my lungs, and now I'm coughing again like I did when I had bronchitis. You'd think I was a smoker or something, by the way my cough is sounding (no...I just grew up in household with two smoking parents... ).

I'm taking the Robitussin DM, but I might need something stronger here soon, already my stomach muscles are sore and burning from all of the coughing.

MelW: I saw you posted something about Hemoplex as an iron booster in last week's chat. Can you tell me where you purchased yours? The store locator didn't have any hits for any store in Wyoming or Colorado, and the only online site was based out of Canada. The US version didn't carry any Hemoplex.

Thanks a bunch...cough-cough-cough

That's what I was thinking. I know that twisting motion is a big no-no, so I personally wouldn't do it. Maybe you can focus on slow and controlled twisting through yoga and then practice batting after the babe is born?

Add me to your list of poor sleepers. Although, last night I finally got a decent amount. The kids have been working their way through a cold and either they've been waking up screaming/kicking eachother in the middle of the night (that's ds2... apparently he turns demonic when he's battling a cold) or they're having nightmares (ds2 woke up a few nights ago DEMANDING candy as if he was being denied some inherent right). Then of course, once I'm up the baby wakes up and plays for a while and I can never get back to sleep. oh, well.

I'm writing a paper on Third World anticolonial nationalisms right now... how much farther can you get from thinking about babies?! lol. Nonetheless, I can't stop. Every few minutes I think of something baby-related to google.

Dh visited his friend and their new baby and she was only 5lb 7oz!!! So tiny! I would have loved to have held her. Ds2 was 7lb on the dot and I thought that was teeny. I'm so loving babies right now. I live in student family housing where everyone has kids and there are always babies everywhere, which I'm loving!

Ok. Back to my paper. really.

I'm wishing you all at least one decent night's sleep this week

Dont take the Tussin!! I feel like cough syrups NEVER work for a cough! Get some of that Throat Comfort tea (I think its safe for preg women and it tastes SOOO good) and add a bunch of honey to it. When i had that bad cough months ago, I felt like the crap-load of honey in my tea kept my cough away for a lot longer.

Good luck!

Not sleeping well here, either. I seem to have a little cold, also. Drippy nose and the sore throat. Sort of. More like that feeling you get when you're swimming in a chlorinated pool and the water goes up you nose. Ugh. DH had it last week and it was only like a 24 hour thing, so I'm hoping. I laid around in bed today reading for hours and taking vitamins and eating oranges. Hope that helps. I haven't been sick since 10/07.

But I can eat eggs again, which is good, because it's such an easy protein source.
