Last thread, we were talking about bonding with babies before birth. I'd be interested to hear more about that. With DS, I definitely didn't. I think a lot of it was just simply not having any idea HOW or not knowing anything about newborns, etc. I hear all these people say they instantly love this kid when it pops out, but I have to know someone before I can love them. Of course I was bonding with and attaching to him, but it just was not what I kept hearing about.

This time, I think because of DS, I have been better able to picture this baby, and get excited about that part too. I have been so cranky about the labor and birth part, I've really focused on having a newborn. Now that I know more about that, I am looking forward to it, and anticipating treasuring it since I've realized how fast it goes. It took me about 6 months to kind of feel like I had a handle on ... LIFE with DS, I'm hoping the learning curve is much faster this time!

neldabean, wait what? Why are you in the water? Thank goodness you are pg and have a little heater inside you.

aslyn, how are you feeling? That pattern doesn't sound comfy for the last few weeks!

*mm* how's that BP and how are you feeling about it?

Here, something has GOT to happen. I don't see how one person can have this much CF without her cervix at least effacing! Then of course last night I realized how beneficial it is to be massive - my friends, family, strangers, everyone jumps to help me and cater to my every whim. I need to not rush through this... I'm 37 weeks today. I think June 3 sounds like an excellent birth day.

Has anyone else picked a date or got a feeling when you're going to go?

We saw a bunch of friends this weekend, and they all kept telling me how ready I looked. (Maybe this was because I just look big and uncomfortable as I move around...Ha!) It is nice, though, when people offer to help you. I try to at least do some things on my own, or the pain is worse if I hold still too long. I had lots of pressure in my lower abdomen yesterday afternoon and evening, which made everything more sore last night and today. Who knows??? I figure she'll come when she's ready. I still need to pack a bag, get DH to clean out the litter box, and fold/put away a bunch of clean laundry. ;-) I think packing a bag should actually happen pretty soon, though, in all reality.

How's everyone else doing today? I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow...wow...

39 weeks tomorrow....my BP is crappy still. This morning I got 135/93 and 138/85. The whole thing is still making me depressed, along with other things. My friend was supposed to come over and do henna yesterday but she had some work to catch up on so she didn't, and I broke down in sobs over it to DH. I feel like everyone is avoiding me for whatever reason. I think in most cases people are just busy, but it still sucks, I'm home all day alone with my DDs, and the only person who even calls me is DH, who calls on his lunch break and his way home EVERY.DAY. to ask how I'm feeling. The sad part is I don't think it's to check if I'm in labor I think he's worried about me being depressed .
DH has tues and weds off this week so I've been looking forward to getting out of the house (did I mention I don't fit behind my steering wheel anymore? So I can't drive myself anywhere....), and now it's going to rain tues, weds, thurs. UGH!!
Sorry for the huge downer post.

OK, so I'm having the teeny tiniest bit of spotting and some cramping. Waiting to see if a lot of water and rest resolves it, or if something is going down ... I haven't told my sister bc she'll put me on lockdown and not let me move the rest of the day, but I told DH just in case...

Oooh, that sounds promising, Burnindinner!

DH needs his head pulled out of his rear. For some reason, during my 4th freaking pregnancy, he forgets how absolutely exhausted I get at the end. Yes, dear, you have to do a little more around the house right now. Suck it up, buttercup. Rawr. /vent

I'm in a nasty mood again today. DH didn't think about how i'd make 3 appts he helped schedule today since we have one car. MW appt I spoke with him before i made the appt and he promised he'd be able to get off work and take us. Then HE made a derm appt for me and my dd at 2 and another 4 pm appt for our marriage counseling (we've been going in to make sure we're on the same page about parenting and everything after he was gone for 7 months). Now i get a text he is stuck in a meeting with some stupid colonel from the pentagon and may not make it. So i'm left to do all the canceling and looking like a freaking flake. And i don't care if you're meeting with the president himself, don't make commitments you CANT keep because you have no control over what the army tells you to do.

GAH! Sorry, had to get that out. And i feel a tad bit better. I know he loves his jobs, but some days i just wish we would win the lottery or something because i need a BREAK!

I've been horribly sick the last 2 days and thought it was simply prodomal labor, but babe is breech. I didn't realize it till ysterday when it got hiccups. Oh well, i'm not concerned but i just know that's why babe isnt engaging even though i'm having a TON of ctx.

Burn - I totally feel that way too! I usually walk about 1-2 miles a day, especially towards the ends of my pregnancies. This time i couldn't walk 5 blocks on sunday without the SPD pain telling my brain that if i walked another foot, i would be killing myself from pain! I broke down into tears last night and asked dh how i was ever going to get my body to make progress if i can't even walk (typically i walk a few miles during labor) and sobbed that i was going to be pregnant FOREVER. I didn't miss the amused look on his face that he tried to mask in seriousness as he told me no one has ever been pregnant forever.

Burnindinner I'm so excited!!!!! Hope this is your body gearing up!!! Yes I was in so freezing cold water yesterday! My good friend who is an amazing photographer had an idea for a photo shoot in this swimming hole. We were hoping that the weather would stay nice but that has not happened and we just went for it. It was only really freezing the first time I went in, after that my legs were numb. lol A funny thing was that right after I got all my clothes on this old park ranger called over the edge of the clif telling us that the park was closing, if he had came a couple minutes earlier he would have gotten quited the show! lol Just imagine a 6'1" stark white naked pregnant woman! lol I can't wait to see them. It was so much fun!!!

*mama moose* I have totally had a melt down about simple things like that too this pregnancy. I was all sad that my good friend couldn't come over. We have been down to one car since Feb. having 9,5 and 2 kids cooped up in the house SUCKS!!! This wacky west coast weather is not helping my sanity any.

Red Sonja I am on my 4th also and some days I really wish I could give my body over to dh and see how he like it!

Aka mommy I wold feel the same way, after just one appt in a day I am wiped out! I hope you are feeling better soon!!

Photo was so great! Thanks for sharing it.

I'm kind of a lurker too. Not much going on here. I don't want to be one of 'those people', but I honestly have no complaints here. I'm ready, but in no rush. My first one was the same way. Wednesday is my last day of work, so part of me is looking forward to that, part of me will miss it a little.

I have three friends due at exactly the same time, so I'm curious who will go first. I'm due around June 5th, but I didn't have a good bead on my date of conception, so I'm pretty open to a range of dates.

My biggest concern is nesting. I'm a busybody so my to-do list never gets any shorter no matter how much I do! Always something.

That is an AWESOME pic! I'm so jealous I dont look that good!

I have a horrid case of hayfever now..YAY, how I love getting sick especialy at the END of pregnancy when Im having prodormal labor..life is just so great. At least my husband is keeping everything together the past few days, the house would be a wreck and the kids would never eat if it was left up to me right now.

I think the only 1 I had a hard time bonding with right after birth was DS1, I bled out and had a manual delivery of the placenta so I wasnt able to hold him for hours, once I did though and we got the quiet time we were able to bond.

37 weeks tmw and trying hard to pull through this week..between all these walks up to the kids school (about a mile each way) for various end of the year activities and this frackin hayfever I am ready to call it quits and just lock myself in the bathroom til I officialy go into labor!
