Well mamas, we're overdue for a new chat thread so here we go!

Are the weeks seeming to fly by to anyone else? Just when I start to lament about time going by so slowly, I stop and think- like I did this am- "holy cow, I'm gonna be 15 weeks pregnant this week!" Less than a month until our anatomy u/s and only 5 weeks from this babe being half-way gestated!

Aside from being 15 weeks on Wednesday, this week is going to be crazy-busy. Dh listed our house the other day and he's got it set up for showings starting this Friday. Keeping the house clean with 5 little tornadoes seems like a huge, near-impossible feat.

Well, have a fantastic week all you lovely preggo mamas!!

I was 15 weeks yesterday! And I agree... time is flying, for now. I know it will slow considerably towards the end.

My son ratted me out. My family still hasn't said anything to me about it, but now they know. I told him it wasn't his secret to tell. Apparently he was worried that I wasn't ever going to tell... I pointed out to him that eventually it would have been very obvious and wouldn't need to be told. He'll be 15 next month... Anyway, he tried to play it off like there was no real comment but I know my grandma better than that. She said, when am I going to stop and her friend said, why would I want another. Ugh.

So now I'm stuck deciding whether I'll say anything or if I should just be an ass and continue on, not hiding it... not caring. There's a part of me that really wants to be an ass and not say anything at all, let them come to me. I'm wondering how long my grandma can keep her mouth shut.

14 weeks tomorrow! Feeling good - I'm back to my normal bedtime (11 pm) without being toooo exhausted in the morning (although I probably should be going to bed a little earlier). Had the inlaws over for dinner and a game of "Ticket to Ride" last night (awesome board game, in case any of you are into them). Gotta go wake the kidlets - dd1 still isn't up and has Kindy this morning.

We have a fabulous weekend at a wedding in FL with old friends. Then somewhere along the way back yesterday I got hit with food poisoning. Had a miserable afternoon and evening but am keeping down fluids today and starting to nibble on crackers.

dh wanted me to check in with the drs office today so I did. A bright spot in all this was that I'm now even more convinced that my new drs office rocks. The nurses' hotline was answered within 2 rings, the nurse totally knew who I was when I said my name ("oh, you have twins right?") and she reassured me that as long as I could stay hydrated today, even if i couldn't eat much, I didn't need to worry. (I pretty much knew that but its nice to have confirmation.)

Birthdance: time Is going by fast! good luck on selling your house! an exciting time. do you have another place lined up yet?

Im 15 weeks today! Its hard to believe that in 5 weeks I will be 20 weeks.. Its kind of insane. The next few weeks are going to go by so fast with all that we have to do before moving mid/end of july.. Im kind of happy its such a busy time because once we get all settled life is going to be SO nice and I will be really pregnant and get to enjoy that relaxing on the beach while my little ones splash around in the lake all day everyday. life is good!

Unfortunately I think I really overdid it these past few days. After yesterdays great day I started to feel sick and by midnight I was full-blown sick. snotty, sore throat, headache, achey sick. my dp got our kids fed breakfast and my eldest off to school and let me sleep in.. i needed it. im still feeling terrible but not so SO terrible. i have some pretty good herbal tinctures that really seem to help. my lungs were hurting bad when i got up earlier and i took some elecampaine tincture and when i got up this time i feel much much better in that area..and my nose is less runny. hopefully it will be a short sickness because i really have way too much to do. That said my kiddos have been sick as well, got it from their cousins i think.. so its going around. i just am usually immune to it.

Demeter: sorry that your son told when you weren't ready
my MIL was visiting and we hadn't told her yet and we went out to eat at a local place and the waitress was like "congrats on your new baby!" yikes. im pretty sure she knew, but that wasn't how I wanted to tell her. we didn't really even talk about it after either...she just made a comment on how she isnt going to have enough special rings for all of the grandchildren, since my SIL is having another as well.. that makes 7 all together for her..but, oh well. i dont care about rings..and really, what can we do? I hope you figure out what you want to do. follow your heart.

my kidlets, yay for energy~! is the game you mentioned a co-operative game? i have never heard of it.

butterflies, sorry you got so sick! but im glad you got taken care of promptly. hope it passes quick and you get back to feeling good again.

earthymama, im still peeing a ton too. its getting old fast!
congrats on 13 weeks!

Mama Fern, I'll join you in that overdoing it boat. After we went camping on Saturday and then all the clean up and put away that went with it yesterday, today the morning (actually in the morning) sickness was harsh and all I've managed is to take a frequently interrupted 2 hour nap today while my daughter watched tv. I did go grocery shopping but now am not thrilled with my prospects for dinner. Also 13 weeks here, hoping that some second trimester energy actually shows up one of these days.

I'll be 14 weeks on Wednesday. I alternate between feeling good/fine and feeling totally discouraged by being knocked on my butt by migraines, and struggling with anxiety issues. I know that it's better for Bugbear (our nickname for the fetus) that I don't take the drugs I was on, but it's been really hard to go from 3-4 migraines a month back to 10+. I'm still not up to my all-time-high average of 20/month (that just sucked!) but I do get discouraged. I really, really hope that the anxiety will kick back once I'm totally done teaching, and we've moved, and the apartment hunt is over and we know exactly where we're moving to, and I'm not surrounded by boxes and tape and pressure and chilly rain, but right now I'd trade three toes for an ativan and not regret it at all.

My 15-item to do list for the day got shot when I went to start my car and it was completely dead, so I'm hoping I can get back on track before this evening. I really want to be able to go visit my mom this week, but if I can't get my crap packed, then I can't do it, so I need to focus and stop futzing around.

Other than that, I'm good!

Fern, Ticket to Ride is an adult game, and it is definitely not co-operative! (Ages 8 and up, I think)

GG - that sucks about the migraines/anxiety. I have had good results with taking Vitamin B2 - I have had 2 auras since starting, but neither of them turned into a full headache. I also take 2 Extra Strength Tylenol when the aura starts and drink a ton of water. I had 3 in a week at the beginning of the pregnancy, but since drinking more water and starting the B2, I haven't had a headache. The B2 is totally safe during pregnancy, and so is the Tylenol (confirmed by my midwife). I hope you get some relief.

Feeling really good today. Biked to ds' well-baby appt - first time I've biked this preg and felt good afterwards. Looks like we're going to get rain this afternoon - a good time for me to fold the mountain of laundry I've got going here!

Thank you, I'll have to try adding the B2! Do you get it in a solo supplement, or a combination B vitamin supplement?

I take it solo. I take either 1 or 2 100mg tablets. The receptionist at the m/w office (who originally told me about it) takes 4 tablets a day, but I'm a little nervous about taking that much while pregnant (even though she says it's perfectly safe in that dosage).

nice to see what everyone's up to..and get better vibes to all of you not feeling well!!!

GG-so sorry about your migranes, wow cant believe how many you can get in a month...i get them sometimes and ugh needless to say i hate them.

I too cannot believe how the time went...although it is weird for me, because the time both drags and flies, and I have no clue how that is possible..Flies because well it just does and drags...because I guess I spend too much time thinking Im pregnant, Im this many weeks, next week Ill be this many weeks, there is this many months left till the baby is supposed to come etc etc etc. But that is just a part of my anxiety and cannot be banished
But Im already 15w 2d and also keep thinking WOW In less than 5 weeks I will be halfway. WHOA. Seems like just yesterday we were whining about being 6 weeks...

I always get migraines at the onset of the second tri, weeks 12-14 are the worst. It has something to do with the increase in blood volume and something hormonal if I remember correctly.

15 weeks here too, and I can't believe how fast time is going for me...I was really hoping that this pregnancy would go a bit more slowly but I have a feeling that I will blink and it will be November already. Only 5 1/2 months until my due date.

I too have been over-doing it too. The weather is finally gorgeous and we did a bunch of long over due yard work on the weekend, which exhausted me and pulled on ligaments in my tummy I didn't know I had, and the heat and sun are giving me headaches. Must restrain myself.

Headachey here, too, and I'm only 12w4d. They started over two weeks ago, too. The timeline was the same with my son, but I don't remember them lasting as long. Chiro helps, and if I wake up headachey, I take Tylenol, because if I don't it turns nasty and I'm down for the count. Extra water helps, as does sleeping cooler, if I can (they always feel worse when I wake up feeling hot and stuffy). I've got a touch of sciatica, too, which I think is due as much to all the weeding I've been doing as being prenant.

I don't at all feel like time is going quickly! Maybe I'm not busy enough?

The weather finally got warm here this past week, and it's making me even more fatigued than I was. I need a nap way more than my 3-year-old, but he's not really letting me sleep when I feel my body shutting down. It's amazing how fast and hard it can hit! I really hope the fatigue and nausea start to fade soon. It would be nice to be able to floss and brush my teeth without retching!

I love that game! I play with my brother and niece all the time

I'll join the headachey boat. I went for an adjustment (my dad is a chiropractor) last week and that helped TONS, but the headache came back over the weekend. I took some ibuprofen, which I hate doing, and it didn't even help I'm actually thinking it's a sinus type headache, as it's behind my eyes and on the side of my head. I've never had allergies before, but that's what my husband thinks it is. Hopefully it clears up, because I hate headaches!

I'm 13w2d today! I'm feeling fantastic, and am also able to stay up a little later and not be exhausted all day. Very exciting! I'm also having to pee less, thank goodness, as I was spending half the day in the bathroom. I LOVE the second trimester!

We found a house we adore but I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up until our house sells. Our house isn't perfect but its presentable and in a great neighborhood. Dh has already gotten several calls on it since he got the listing up so we're both trying to think postively.

Nic, my oldest dh ratted me out, too. One morning several weeks ago dh was at the bus stop and one of our neighbors congratulates him on the pregnancy. He scratched his head thinking that surely I wouldn't have told her, especially that soon. Turned out our 10 y/o blabbed the day we told him- like around 8 weeks or so. Then a couple of weeks ago at his baseball game, one of his friend's moms came up to me and said "congrats, when are you due?" It was very embarrassing. Needless to say he's been forbidden to tell anyone else without running it by us first.

Hmm....that might explain why I've had a couple lately. Interestingly my migraines are linked to my cycles, so when I got pregnant with DD they stopped totally and stayed away until my period came back. It was 18 months of bliss I tell you. Since then they haven't been nearly as frequent, I used to get a couple a week, it was horrid. Now I'm down to just a few a year but I was hoping for a total reprieve again being preggers. I've been having tension headaches too, often in the evenings. Hoping this phase passes soon.
