Hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day.

It's weird, my belly seems to be smaller and smaller in the morning. I'm thinking the gassy belly is going away? It's still sticking out there after I eat though. Into the 8th week for me, possibly 7th, but we'll see what she says when I give her the dates of when I think I ovulated next week. I think I may be due on the 25th now instead of the 19th, which is cool. It would be fun to have a Christmas baby.

It's funny I can't go anywhere near the meat department in the co-op. Raw meat is really nasty to smell now. I make DH get our organic bacon.

I'm really looking forward to being in my second trimester and hearing the heartbeat on the 28th.

Still dealing with afternoon sickness here. Blech. No actual puking, just lots of nausea.
I have my first u/s on Wednesday, so I'm super nervous to see that everything is ok and am trying to occupy my time until then.

I'm entering my 8th week too. Still feeling a good deal of morning/afternoon sickness. My first appt. w/the midwives is on the 26th. I'm definitely looking forward to it and hoping I get to hear the heartbeat. DH is coming with but I think we're not going to take DS with us. I think since it's my first appt. and first time meeting them it will be best for my attention to leave him home or at Nanny's house. He's excited about the baby and talks about how he wants to teach them how to go potty and how to walk. I keep telling him it will take a while for that. We have been reading him "Hello Baby" by Lizzy Rockwell. He loves it and I think he understands a good deal of it. Except he keeps trying to turn the book "right side up" when they show the pics of the baby upsidedown in the womb.lol.

I'm just starting to think I'm showing a little bit. DH said something about it last night too. He thinks my boobs are getting a little bigger. My belly is starting to look just a little bigger but you really have to know me to notice I think.

hi everyone-still hanging in there??
i'm trying.

i will be 10 weeks in 2 more days. counting down those days! i am starting to feel some of the nausea taper off a bit. i still have my moments (or hours), and don't feel great after eating, but other times i am not feeling it. this is a welcome change!! although today i haven't felt too ill, i had a random 'can't keep my eyes open' day. SO incredibly exhausted! i feel guilty too that i am not doing the best to keep my dd occupied during the day. she will be 2 on friday!! but i have been letting her play with the tv on while i lay on the couch. oh well. just trying to survive!

have my 2nd midwife appt on thursday and will listen for the heartbeat. excited for that.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'll be 9 weeks on Thursday and OMG, the fatigue hit me HARD today. Could be because we're in the middle of moving and yesterday was super busy, could be the fact that there are two baking in there, but whatever the reason, I cannot keep my eyes open to save my life. DP thinks its pretty funny. Still not horribly nauseous, but I woke up this morning with a pretty definite pooch, so a few more weeks and there will be no question as to why I'm wearing baggy clothes!

Can't wait for my next appointment on June 3rd...hopefully we'll get to hear both heartbeats and they're supposedly doing another ultrasound so we get to see the beans again. Yay!

Aurinia - good luck with the appt! June 3 isn't that far away. Mine is June 1, so we can count the days together =)

summer and cindy and splath - feel better!

We told my family yesterday! Went to my parent's house for mother's day and my youngest brother's birthday. My brothers, sister, and my parents were sitting at the dinner table when we gave my mother her "present" : a mother's day card with a u/s pic inside. Once everyone figured it out, they were really excited. It was SO much fun!

I'm 9 weeks now.

I had two days last week without significant nausea. It was amazing! I spent the rest of the week though throwing up anything I drank/ate.

Today I've held down toast but threw up everything else. I keep hoping this is a sign that the nausea is going to lessen over the next few weeks.

My midwife/friend is stopping by tomorrow for something and said she'd bring her doppler so we could do an unofficial listen for the heartbeat. I will be so thrilled if we get to hear it. This pregnancy feels completely unreal still.

I can't wait until I can say I'm 12 weeks. So crazy that we're that much closer to the second trimester!

Me too! I'm 8w3d and I feel so bad, but DS (2 on the 23) has definitely spent a lot of time watching tv and/or entertaining himself (by chasing the dogs with noisy toys mostly ) especially after I eat. I can't wait until the nausea passes. I haven't vomited that much, only twice, but I'm sidelined after almost every meal. But if I don't eat, I'm nauseous too! Argh! I can't wait until 2nd tri! I keep telling DH this is our last baby! Lol

Sounds like a lot of you mamas are in the same boat, sickness wise! Heres to hoping it lets up significantly in the next couple weeks!

Im just hitting my 8 week mark (i think) and am still getting intermittent bouts of nausea...usually at night time. Yesterday and today I had some heartburn issues, but Im hoping that was a fluke, as I usually dont have a problem with heartburn. Nothing seems to save my nausea though, when it hits head on! I actually put myself to bed last night talking to myself in my head and repeating over and over that "I felt okay, and wasnt going to be sick, and that my baby was healthy and growing, and that if I just went to sleep I would feel better in the morning....etc" In hindsight it seems pretty funny, but it put me to sleep and I didnt get sick!

Next Monday is my first appointment for the pregnancy....IM SO excited to see this baby!!!

I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and have been waiting to hit that point until I feel like I am moving forwardagain. I was at 9 weeks 8 days ago when I saw the RE and she gave me a new EDD, so the past week hss been like a "do-over" for me :p

Been feeling a little less queasy this past week, and the belly is definitely expanding. I still haven't quite reached my pre-preg weight b/c I lost weight, but I am at least gaining a bit now.

I'm 10 weeks today! According to my book, I am leaving embryoland and entering fetusville! Also, my babies are the size of a small plum.

I just took my second Zofran since I got the script Friday and am waiting to pass out.

It is so nice to read your stories. It makes me feel not so alone! We haven't told anyone. I am just over 9 weeks and waiting for my m/w appt on June 8th ...so far away, but at least I get an u/s on May 26th and will maybe have a little peace.
The nausea and exhaustion won't go away, but I am a little thankful to have it as it seems to make this all so real, along with the ever changing belly.
I thought I could get away without buying any maternity clothes for a while, but I broke down and bought some jeans. Feels kind of silly to be wearing a tummy panel so early but I just couldn't go around with my pants undone all the way...(guess that's what got me here with DH.)

Have a great week mamas!

My DS does this with the book my midwife has. It's funny how the baby is upside down and needs to be right side up. Babies are always supposed to be right side up.

We have heartbeat!!!
6 weeks 4 days.

It was almost a waste of time to see the genetic counselor. But it was good to see the heartbeat.
For once my baby size edd is in line with my lmp edd.

Preggo brain is bad already, the other night while making dinner instead of grabbing my water bottle I took a swig of olive oil.

That's disgusting about the olive oil! I totally have preggo brain too, though. Although mine is sort of taking the form of complete inability to focus. For instance, here I am at work, but I can't stop checking MDC every 30 minutes. Not good...
