Okay, i didn't see one of these this week....<br><br>
How are things going with everyone?<br><br>
Can you believe that it is MAY tomorrow????<br><br>
Things are okay here, but I had another bout of bleeding last night (had one the first week of April too..that only lasted for a moment and then went away until last night), it was more than the last time and was accompanied by more pain, pressure and nausea (for some reason..). The bleeding actually stopped after just a few minutes..but there was more and it was bright red! So I called my regular doc (not an ob) because I am having midwife issues too *sigh*...she agreed to see me because she rocks!! She got me if for this afternoon..in one hour actually!<br><br>
I am hoping that everything is fine and it was just nothing.<br><br>
In other news, as I posted about earlier, baby now likes to put its feet into my ribs. Fun, because it is cool that the baby is actually that big...but also highly uncomfortable! Ah well. No big deal!<br><br>
--oh, and it is official, there is a January 2008 thread now! Yikes! I remember when I was just wishing to not be the last month added....and now...we are very far from that! Yippie!

I'm SO excited for the swap. I was out and about in town, and went to the cutest baby stores. I finally broke down and bought a card (since everything was so cute I couldn't leave without something). It's funny because when I was in the US, I thought Sweden had cool wooden toys (home of Brio) but really the great ones come from Germany. And after Hanna Anderson, I thought Sweden would have great clothes - but the cutest ones come from Denmark (not far away at all) luckily the stores I visited stock all the stuff!!<br><br>
We're also getting ready to go on holiday to Greece on Thursday. I'm a little nervous as my hips are really hurting, and I'm not feeling very mobile. I basically told my husband that I'm planting my a** on the beach and not moving except to eat really lovely food.

My week is starting out pretty normal. I worked today, as I do most days, but because the tourist season is slow right now, it wasn't really busy, which gives me a nice break.<br>
I have an OB appt tomorrow, so I am a little nervous about that. I don't think anything is wrong with the baby, it is just that I'm high risk, so I just know they are going to want to do a pelvic exam on me again which really irks me. I am not at risk for preterm labor and have never been, but they like to do pelvic exams at this clinic for some reason. Oh well, I will just have to remember to shave my legs tonight.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br>
The only good thing about tomorrow is that I am off from work and me and DH are going to Baby's R us after the appt since we will be on that side of town. I am going to pick out and buy my carseat tommorrow and then after that the only big thing that I have left to buy is a stroller.<br>
I'm really excited about the exchange too. Dh and I walked around DownTown Disney after dinner tonight and I can't wait to buy some stuff for the person that I am exchanging with.<br>
Oh, and I am down 2 hamsters.... only about 48 more to go.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br>

Okay here...starting to have Braxton Hicks. It's freaking me out a little bit because I only had them once with Claire and that was about two weeks before I went into labor. I just keep reminding myself that every pregnancy is different. But, does anyone know if stress can cause more/earlier BH? Because, between losing my grandmother and remodeling the kitchen I'm feeling a lot of it lately.

I *think* I might have started to have BH too. Either that or it is really strong gas. It is hard to tell sometimes.<br>
I'm on my way to my OB appt now. I am dreading the waiting for 2 hours in the waiting room and then seeing the doctor only 5 mins. I am so glad I only have to do this once a month right now. I hate going to the high risk clinic.<br>
Well, the good thing is I get to go shopping at Babies R Us afterwards so I'll just keep thinking about that!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

i think i am starting with BHs too..... since this is my first pregnancy i can only guess from what i have read that it is BH, or gas! haha<br><br>
we went to a babyshow in ******* this past weekend, and loaded up on tons of stuff! we got our car seat and stroller, cloth diapers, some blankets, a breastpump, some cute handmade clothes, and decor for the nursery! it was so much fun, and luckily for my dh and i, my mil was with us!<br><br>
27 weeks here.... only 3 months until my official due date. now people are starting to guess whether i will deliver early or not. my mom is convinced that i am too big for 27 weeks, although she has only seen photos. no one listens to me when i tell them i know which day i conceived, so i know that i am 27 weeks! ugh!<br><br>
been sick the past 2 days with a sore throat, stuffy nose. please make it stop!!!!

I have been having BH for over a month now. I don't recall having them at all with ds but it's possible I did and just didn't realize it. Anyway, I asked my mw about it because I definitely have more, or feel them more if I'm tired or stressed out. She said it was normal, just try to lie down and drink some water - not drinking enough water will cause them too.<br><br>
I'm 26 weeks and nothing new - feeling good, kind of dreading the third trimester in a way because I'm liking all the energy I've had the past little while, so doing yard work and organizing the house as much as possible right now.

Hi, all. I'm 25 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe it!<br><br>
I still feel good overall, aside from some achey joints and heartburn. I get very depressed about my job and dissertation work (trying to wrap this puppy up ASAP), which is frustrating because it gets in the way of 'enjoying the pregnancy'! We have a houseguest this weekend, but then the weekend after, DH is finally ready to check out some baby crap. I also want to post on my tribe and find a local mom who can give me a 101 on cloth diapering.<br><br>
Still trying to figure out what to do about people wanting to come visit ASAP when baby arrives. Do we want a private 'baby moon' to enjoy for a while? Or will we want "help" right away?<br><br>
I was looking into doulas and now I'm swinging back to not wanting one, keeping the birth very intimate.<br><br>

this week my fatigue suddenly lifted. it's incredible how capable i suddenly am. yesterday i took care of ds, did the laundry, put away the dishes, and tidied up. normally i would only have been able to lie on the couch and sort of keep an eye on ds.<br>
i'm also suddenly starved. i'd eat everything in the fridge, if there were anything in there. last night i dreamed about all sorts of food, all night long.<br>
and i'm in the 3rd trimester! this baby is really going to come! we're int he final countdown, now! it seems like i've been pregnant forever and i can't wait to be done and hold my new little person.<br>
ds is up, i'd better go see him.

BABYMOON: I am thinking that we will want at least 1, probably 2, weeks as a family before allowing guests. If we see anybody, it will be because we go out: I want to save myself from the pressure of hosting -- or, in my case, having a messy home and feeling judged for it. DH wants a "meet the baby" party for his relatives, who won't go to a baby shower out of superstition, and his male friends, who won't be invited to a woman-centered blessingway type thing (really, do I want them touching my belly or boobs?). I am thinking that I would like the meet the baby party about a month after the birth and hosted by somebody else! However, I don't feel like my stay in the birthing center is going to feel terribly intimate with nurses coming in to check temp, BP, etc., so I am okay with one selected couple coming to see us in when we are there (will be discharged within 24 hours).

Ooooh, I'm so thrilled. Last night the baby was kicking really hard and my husband was able to feel her. Within a few seconds of his putting his hand on my stomach, she kicked hard right in the center of his palm <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">

Well, I have been to the doctor twice and made one trip to the hospital for an ultrasound (yes, AGAIN--that makes three), in the past 24 hours.<br><br>
Basically everything looks okay...I am dilated to one, but it appears to be just normal for me since it is my third baby. I have been ordered to stop doing too much and take it easy. Which is weird for me, because I am really not doing <i>that</i> much and I am just not the kind of person who takes it easy...I like to do everything myself. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
My doctor almost made me stay on bed rest for a couple of days and that freaked me out! Luckily she agreed to just let me take it easy UNLESS the bleeding returns or the cramping/pressure gets worse...so that means I really have to take it easy or else I might just end up being forced to. I am so happy that she was wonderful and helped me take care of this while I deal with my miwife issues...hopefully those will be resolved tonight (I have a new appointment).<br><br>
On the fun side--the ultrasound showed that it is STILL looking like a girl <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> ....but I am still skeptical! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"><br><br>
And...these feet getting stuck in my ribs.....yeah, it is not head down at all (which explains the horrid pressure under my left ribs), it is butt down and has its hands, feet AND head all right under my left ribs....it all makes sense now<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> ...and i hope it decides to turn itself around SOON....ouch!!!!<br><br>

I have been feeling very clear and obvious BH for about 2 weeks now (I will be 23 weeks tomorrow). I thought BH was normal so I haven't mentioned it to my midwife or anything, but this is my first so what do I know! Should I be feeling them this early? How frequent is too frequent? Should I be freaking out a bit more about them?

Emily, don't worry about it. We all have BH from 6wk on but just don't know it. I had them at about 20wk with my first.<br><br>
I've been having lots of BH, but I'm not sure if I'd know the difference between them and preterm labor so I take it really easy if I notice an increase.<br><br>
Names have been picked out. Cloth diapers all bought and on their way to me. Trying not to stress about my high-stress mom coming out to "help".<br><br>
Last night, there was a big bump to the right of my belly button. I poked and poked at it trying to figure out what it was. No luck! I feel that baby a lot more but the other is positioned differently. It really doesn't feel like twins with the amount of movement I get. Though I'm now measuring 34 weeks!

I'm feeling good, just battling gas - yuck - but besides that, I'm alright. In two days I'll be in my third trimester!!! So, that is really exciting! Dh is starting painting on the inside of the new house, so we'll be in very soon. My nesting instincts are REALLY starting to kick in and I can't bring myself to do any serious cleaning on a house we are about to move out of. So, naturally, I am DYING to get into the new one. I can't wait to decorate the girl's rooms!!!<br><br>
Mommiesusie, supermuma and josybear - I'm really glad to hear things are going well after problems/worries/fatigue. I thought I was feeling some BH last night, but I think it was just gas. Scared me though, because dh and I had just dtd <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/shy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="innocent"><br><br>
I'm about to go to the new house and put some more flower seeds in the front bed. It'll be next summer before we see them since they are the kind of perinneals that don't come up right away. But I'd rather plant them now, wait until next year, and see if I need to sow more seed, then never have to worry about it again!! I really dislike having to put in annuals year after year. Besides, our native perinneals are so pretty and hardy! I'm planting Purple coneflower (echinacea), Black eyed susans, Indian blanket and Salvia sage. It should be a lovely garden!

I have been feeling the nesting urge lately too. I have been cleaning, and straightening alot more than I usually do. I can't stand it even when a pillow is out of place. I took a nap yesterday when I got home in the afternoon and woke up around 11:00 and got up and cleaned until 1:00am and then went back to sleep.
