Such sweet pics. I love the painted belly.
Well, I feel good, but pretty tired. Can anyone relate?!?! Ha ha
I had an appt yesterday and all is good. I am measuring well, BP great, up exactly 30 lbs at 31 weeks. Pretty good.
I have been spending ALOT of time in our pool. It is a lifesaver.
My dh, ds and I are taking a vacation!! We are going to Cape Cod for the week. My uncle is lending is his summer house for the week. It is so exciting for us to be able to take a break. It is a short walk to the beach. We are also going to cruise to Provincetown because my dh has never been there.
Ummm- not much else. I got my shower gist and beads sent out. I can't wait to get mine in the mail. I love gifts and I am excited to see how the birth beads look.
Feeling good about VBAC. I have successfully worked out a plan with the birthing center to only be on some intermittent monitoring. I feel way better about that.
More later.

Doing okay. My heartburn is all but gone! Its been replaced by nightly wrist pain though. Course its not like I'm giving up the computer or knitting to make it better. I am cutting back though.

dh took this one of me yesterday but I think its pretty unflattering, I'm definitely going to go back to the black shirt for other pics

I love all the great belly shots! I'll have to have DH take some more of me tonight.

I'm feeling good actually. I'm sleeping very well (not needing to get up and pee yet!) I had my 30 week appointment Wednesday and I've gained 14 pounds so far and my bp looked good (it has been low, but it was ok this week). I'm now on an every two week appointment schedule which makes it feel like the countdown has begun! DD#1 was 2 weeks early (and I started dilating at 36 weeks), so I'm not sure when this one will make an appearance.

I have had heartburn occasionally, but for the most part it hasn't bothered me this time like with DD#1. My only issue has been dealing with being so warm (see my thread about freezing out my family :LOL ). It has been 90 here the last few days, and even though I'm in A/C I just seem to constantly be hot.

Measuring 30 weeks at 31 weeks. Only gained one pound last month--yeah! Even with the krispy kreams....
: Not much else going on right now except my back aches from work. Baby is bobbling around and pushing my belly button out right at the moment....future acrobat?

Ok, here is a 31 week belly shot...pretty horrible, but I'm too tired to put decent clothes on and take another one. Don't go blind from the white belly!!
Oh, and no my armpits are not hairy in the picture...just shaddow.

Happy week everyone! We are enjoying the 8th weekend in a row with rain...oh joy! I'm not gonna complain as it keeps it cool, though.

aww Held you look so trim grrrr :LOL it's my own fault.. hahaa anyway!

Now Michelle, who gave you permission to sleep well and not have to get up to pee??? *giggles* I'm up to pee at least 3x a night, can't stand the littlest bit in the bladder, it aches! (has to do with my pelvic floor problemas).

Kerri! yay! you get to go to the cape, that should be great fun.

I"m just planning on existing as per usual..nothing big (cept me). Measuring at 32 at 29/almost 30 weeks.
Let's just say I'd never ever stand in a bathing suit and have a piccie taken...wouldn't do it before pg and lol not now!!

Anyone else swelling like a soaked sponge? I noticed today that my feet hurt and going barefoot is painful if I step on anything, I'm thinking they are retaining water as I can barely curl my toes up. Fingers have been that way for a while now, but my feet kill! This didn't happen last time.....was hoping to avoid it this time.

Swelling has gone down here. Finally able to wear most of my rings again! Yay me! Kiddo is much more active, though I'm so used to it now I'm finding I sleep through alot of it.

Moved for the most part. still some odds and ends I need to go back for and put in storage. Very very happy to finally sleep and wake in my beloveds arms.
The kids are acting like a bunch of primary schoolers with equal amounts of control issues. Fun fun. But it's going to be a long summer anyways, and it gives me something to do.....

Might be a stupid question, Jamie, but are you drinking enough? I notice on the days when I don't push myself, my ankles tend to disappear

This baby seems to have huge growth spurts associated with almost constant movement, then back to periodic movement. These episodes last about three days and occur every two to three weeks or so. Anyone else experience this? As a result I feel really stretched out and, well, kinda crabby too....

I finally had my first emotional "snap" yesterday. Let's just say I needed to apologize to DH in a hurry! Suprised it took me until almost 30 weeks.....

75% of this pg is over, just 25% to go. Now I need to plan my dd's birthday party as her bday is just 5 days after our due date. Of course, everyone knows how Virgos are all born on time....

Jaime, I so feel you on the swelling. It just started with the hot weather this week, and I managed to get my wedding ring off today with cold water and lots of soap, and won't risk putting it back on until/unless the swelling goes down. The feet, the ankles--it's not pretty. I'm having the hurts-to-walk-barefoot thing too. Yoga helps some.

Kate, I'll try pushing even more water.

Hope everyone's doing well. Too hot right now to write bunches.

Seems counter-intuitive, but our bodies actually hold onto water when we don't give them enough, thus creating an abundance of water in our systems that make us swell. Plus, they don't excrete anything, so they hold onto other wastes too.

i am having stronger contractions every evening but at night i sleep well...who can understand this?
i am starting to get used to terbutaline, pulse rate went under 100/min, what a relief!
It is my 28th week belly shot:

I have some swelling, mostly b/c it's been hot and humid here. If it gets bad, acupuncture can really help - I'm definitely going that route if it gets bad (last time my legs swelled up like crazy and I got carpal tunnel/numbness in both hands from all the excess water). I drink a LOT of water (at least 80 oz a day) but my body doesn't handle it very well.

apparently I look ready to give birth....people are amazed that I have 2 months to go. I know I'm tired of wearing clothes, lol.

Starting to get a bit anxious...I'm not good with change! DD1 being born was a huge change and it took me a LONG time (like over a year) to adjust. Some days I'm really freaked out that we decided to have another baby....just when DD is playing by herself sometimes and sleeping in her own bed (she decided 2 weeks ago that she wanted to - we were pretty amazed). Deep breaths....deep breaths....

Hi,
Just an update: I went to see an endo today and don't have to start insulin (at least yet) Yeah! They offered me oral meds, but I declined, would rather do insulin-better studied and doesn't cross placenta. but for now, I am doing OK.

Also getting over nasty UTI, also both doc and midwife think I have kidney stones, so I have contraction and pain CONSTANTLY! I did get some codeine to use if I need it, but so far, motrin is working OK. Which really sucks, I am not doing births until I am a little more stable.

I keep promising a belly shot to show my huge belly, I am bigger than many people are at labor!!! But I am being too lazy to figure out how to do my photos and link them.

I am also doing almost nothing. It is too darn hot and muggy! Today it feels like 97 outside. We are getting ready to go to the pool, I will be spending lots of time there, I think.

On Friday, i will have surgery to repair some scarring and damage done at my last birth with my son. I had a rectal prolapse and the worst hemorrhoids I have ever seen in my career! It is a relatively simple procedure with laser, but still not pleasant and I will be out of comission for a few days. What fun!!!

Barb - AAaah! Surgery now? I'm sorry you have to go through that. And kidney stones to top it off, you poor thing!
s Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Nancy - I know how you feel. I'm still a little freaked that we are having another. Not sure how it's going to go, but everything will work out, right?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Where is summer???? It is downpouring right now as I type and has been drizzling/sprinkling off and on all day. It rained Saturday, Friday, The night before that, and the day before that. This was the 8th weekend in a row with rain and it is cloudy and drizzly for at least a part of most days. The raging army of slugs are having a field day in my garden along with the cutworms. And whenever I try to go out there to pick'n'squish slugs I end up getting wet and bit by every misquito south of the Canadian boarder. I don't think if I bought a keg of beer it would be enough to make a dent in the huge slug ary that is desimating my garden and hard work.
:
:
: This is such a petty thing to get upset about I suppose.....
: Oh, and there are the lines of ants that have moved inside my house because of all the rain.

Yeah, the swelling is probably my fault for not drinking enough. It seems like I glug all day, but I've never been a very good liquid drinker.

Hey Jamie,
It's finally raining here and I'm thrilled....it's been so muggy! Sorry about all the slugs though. We are just doing an herb garden this summer because I'm usually the gardener in the family and I can't even see my feet, so I'm not going to be doing a lot of weeding.....

As for the water...I bought one of those 30-oz Nalgene bottles and I fill it up 3x a day (once before noon, once before 5, and once after dinner). It has a little handle on the top so I can carry it around w/me while chasing DD. It's been great for helping me get fluids. Before that I was using a recycled spring-water bottle.
