Well we are up and running again! I'm at 12 weeks. Wow. It seems so good to hit that number. Now I'm waiting for 20 (or there abouts) so I can start feeling the baby kick!
I'm still feeling lousy especially in the evenings. Hopefully tonight I will do better so I can play with my girls rather than falling asleep so early.

So glad we are back online.

My eyes are scratchy.

Otherwise, my diapers came in the mail and so did my Maya wrap. I'm ready for anything now.

Yeah! We are back - I missed you gals so much! I was out of town all last week and then the site was down so I feel like it has been FOREVER since I have been online! I am not as sleepy as before. I can usually get by without a nap but then I usually get sleepy around 7-8 pm. I have started working out again and that is making me feel better. I have been feeling like a big fat slug lately. I only fit into my larger clothes but I don't feel like I am pregnant-fat just fat-fat, kwim? I picked up my first few baby clothes, some rec'ing blankets, and some baby books. I swoon and tear up when whenever I see the clothes laying out.

i got some diapers in the mail, and i bought a pattern to make some of my own aio's. i am LOVING them. http://photos.yahoo.com/aja_belly if you go to the diapers folder you can see them. they are very baby diapers, and the pattern is for sale on diapershop.com

Aja, I have sharp pain at the base of my spine when I've been standing too long. And then it lasts all night. Is that sciatic nerve pain? I am going to tell my doc about it, because it's making it hard for me to work a full day. (I'm in retail.)

Well, I am queasy every day now. But no throwing up. Still tired. My nose gets really congested and then it dries out. And for a while it was bleeding. Does anyone else have a lower sex drive? Sorry if TMI, but it's been two weeks. Hopefully it gets better. But other than all of that I am great!!

Yes, I missed mdc severely over the weekend. I have a job where I sit in front of a computer all day and usually I spend a while poring through the archives... but not this time!

I'm still feeling good! So glad the m/s is gone! I look back on those weeks of feeling constantly crappy and don't miss them at all!

Saturday was my little sister's birthday and a family gathering so I got to show off my little belly My mom leaned down and yelled, "Hello baby!! It's Grandma!" and nearly scared the life out of me. Me and my sister (who is due at the same time as me!!!) also did the wedding ring gender test, but when we looked up what the motions meant online there were many conflicting answers. It went side to side for me, and in a circular motion for her. What is the prevalent interpretation? Anyone know?

Hey everyone- so glad to be able to come here and post! I also joined a mainstream list and it can stress me out so much! I finally picked up the little one's hb on the doppler yesterday, yay! Today I'm 11w4d!!! I think I'm still in shock, lol!

Almostfey- no clue about the wedding ring test, sorry! I tried the Draino test when I was pg with Maddie and found conflicting info- of course we all know it's not true anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter!

aja- a good place to get PUL is www.wazoodle.com- they actually have procare PUL which is much sturdier and will last longer than regular PUL. It's wet laminated on good quality fabric. The PUL you buy elsewhere isn't and can wear out over time, causing it to leak. Also, you never know what the quality of the fabric is unless you buy it directly from www.fabrite.com- which isn't a bad option if you are buying alot. Have fun sewing - I'm supposed to be up in my sewing room right now finishing a last minute order before we leave town, but I wanted to check in with you all first.

Paniscus- I hear you on the fat issue- I'm bigger but not obviously pregnant and I haven't gained any weight, so what's up with that?

Stone Fence- what kind of diapers did you get???

Dani- It's been longer than 2 weeks since we've had sex. I just keep falling asleep so early. I'm going to make it a point to do it within the next few days just so dh doesn't start getting upset. He tends to get cranky if we go too long. So far he's been surprisingly great about it though!

Hi Mamas! I missed you

Guess what? My nausea has finally let up.

Whoo hoo Whee yeah!!

I've been feeling very mildly nauseous the past 5 days instead of deep-breathing-trying-not-to-puke-all-day nausea. I'm still not liking the thought of food but at least I can get it down easier. I start week 10 tomorrow so I think I got off easy this time (pregnancy #2 lasted through week 13). Ginger ale and chocolate ice cream are my best friends

aja and dani, ouch, sciatica?! I had that with my first pregnancy and it was just terrible. A warm heating pad helped a bit but eventually the nerve just had to realign itself. I had it at the end of my pregnancy and it was due to the baby's position, though.

I'm in the midst of a birth-location crisis. I really do not like my ob/cnm practice and desperately want OUT--way too medical, feel like a sheep in the herd, testing-crazy there. The problem is there are no other options other than homebirth with a midwife(birth centers are too far of a drive). I mentioned the high cost of homebirth in another thread as a deterrent but also dh is just not on board with it....I don't know what I'm going to do..I just don't want to be defending my choices during labor and immediately after the birth. Even with a birth plan the staff will still ask you (and sometimes ask you again) if you are sure you don't want xyz.

I emailed a local doula to ask about the hospital and she played it safe and told me to call the l+d floor. I need to know about their rooming in policy, how soon can I check out, etc. I can and will advocate for myself and my baby if needed but I was hoping to have a more gentle, relaxed experience.

Anyone else feeling the baby move regularly yet? I get flutters several times a day now. Mostly if I am leaning forward or lying down. It's such a great feeling to know baby is in there moving around

ok, I think side to side is BOY and in circles is GIRL.

I don't believe any of those tests, though, and think they are just for fun, however I freely admit to going crazy trying to figure out my babies genders during my 3rd trimesters and doing each and every test including the Chinese calender test :

Hey all! I missed you!
I am starting to feel a little less sleepy and draggy but can totally identify with the fat feelings identified elsewhere on this thread I am still sooo crabby though -- ds drives me bananas!

Pepper, i am feeling this babe a few times a day too, mostly when laying down. I am completely amazed everytime it happens because it is still so early.

Aren't they just the tiniest little things! So sweet!

Anyone else out there doing some shopping this morning? I have to work so I got up and exercised rather than hitting the crowds before heading off to the job. Nothing in the ads was that tempting.

I wasn't nauseated yesterday and I wasn't constipated either. Could this be the 12 week mark and that I'm finally through that stage??? OK maybe TMI.

mclisa, I hit one store today and it was insane. I've never done the day-after-turkey-day sales before, but I thought I would today as I didn't have to work and I'm trying to pick up something for baby weekly, before I stop working. I got a good deal on some gowns for sleeping but I don't think it was worth it, really! Very crazy in there.

I like to get out the baby stuff I have and daydream And speaking of those gowns, the have an extra little half-cuff - does that serve any purpose? Are you supposed to fold it over the baby's hand? I flipped it like that to see but it didn't really look very functional, but maybe it works better with a baby in it.

Had a nice dinner with my family yesterday and will be having another dinner tonight with dh's family! Mmmm, turkey.

almostfey, that little cuff is for putting over baby's hands when they are first born. Their little nails are long and their hands instinctively go to their face all the time so that prevents them from scratching up their faces. It's almost impossible to cut their nails because they are still attached to the skin on the fingers. This is something I knew nothing about so now you'll now and be prepared unlike me! My poor firstborn had little scratches all over his face

Monkey's Mom, I am SO sorry you are still feeling so badly. Gosh, it is about time that you start feeling better. Hang in there and I hope relief comes soon for you.

PPMama, How cool you are feeling the baby, too. You must be petite like me, then?

Well, no sales for me today. We are participating in Buy Nothing Day. Is anyone else?? It won't make a dent in the consumption but at least we're taking a stand.

So, how was everyone's Thanksgiving? I loved all the food. I could not get enough of the veggies and onion dip. Neither could my two-year old as she was using her celery as a spoon and just eating the dip straight up (double-dipper, anyone? :LOL) Have a great day, everyone.

Thanks, Pepper! I know to keep babies' nails trimmed but didn't know it was so tricky when they're brand new. So, when they're not sleeping do I need to worry about having their hands covered, or is it mostly just when they're snoozing that they do it?

I read about Buy Nothing Day... and completely forgot it until I read your post I swear I have to write everything down these days or else it will fly right out of my head.

Well, I'll be 14 weeks (or so) on Sunday. Nausea gone. Yay!! Constipation is always here, has been throughout last 2 pregnancies, too. And since last ds's csection. So, I'm used to it. But I think now I have hemorroids (sp?). I don't know for sure since I've never had them, but not fun. (glad I don't see any of you IRL :LOL) I'm definitely showing. Having trouble sleeping. I am trying to sleep on my left side b/c that's best later on for baby's position, but I can't get comfy that way. But sleeping on my right side makes me feel nauseous and gassy, although I'm comfy... if that makes sense. EVerytime I wake up on my back my right arm is asleep. So, needless to say I wake up trying to get comfortable all night long.

Still having trouble getting off my butt to exercise. I do try to do a few squats and standing push ups everyday. Not much, I know.

I've been feeling little thuds for a few weeks, on occasion and only lying down. The past few days they are more frequent but not constant by any means.

I wore dh's jeans today -- and otherwise have been wearing my sweatpants 24/7. Literally! I sleep in them, get up in the morning, change my shirt, and wear them all day. Take a bath, put on new underwear and go back to bed. TMI!!

Someone mentioned low sex drive -- I on the other hand had a very randy sex dream last night and have been in good spirits all day! To top it off, I got Justin Timberlake's CD out of the library : and have been listening to it and dancing around. On the other hand, I'm not attracted to dh in the least at present -- but if Justin came sniffing around .....

I am truly in the "fat or pregnant?" stage.

I'm wearing DH's jeans too. I put my jeans on last night after work, but they just weren't comfortable. I had a ton of relatives coming over so I didn't want to have my stomach hurting because of too tight jeans.

Warning: below can contain TMI!

Any one else with a lot extra discharge? I know that this extra discharge is common. I remember it from the previous pregnancies. Yesterday I work I was just sitting there and I felt wet. I went to the bathroom and it was just a little bit of that discharge in my panties. I'll have to mention it at my appointment on Tuesday.

My mom, cousin, and aunt all want to go shopping today. We'll have to see what we do with my kids. They said: oh we'll just push them in the stroller. I had to laugh at that. Kids sit in strollers??? Mine think they need to walk around with us. We'll have to see what trouble we come up with.

Melissa - yes!! It just started suddenly a week or so ago too! I read that it was common to have lots so didn't worry, but geez, this is a lot! I wanted to find out if it started like that in the 2nd trimester, since I'm beginning it, but couldn't find anything that said so. But that's how it seemed to me.
