saratchka: glad it is all okay and that the radiologist did not think it was serious. I think MDC and esp ddc is a great place to get ones feeling, fears, joys etc out so don't apologies at all

My dh is home which is nice, he is doing a bit more with dd and so i can get a bit of a break but there is so much to do before he has to go back to the rig that time feels tight too.

M/s is gross and i just hope it goes away this time not like last where it stayed the whole time. I am super tired and go to bed really early ( 7:30pm) each night and nap with dd during the day. But i am not sleeping well at night. i am up to pee 1000 times and usually awake at about 4am

This has been such a weird long week.

I can't believe i'm 9 weeks today... it doesn't feel that way. With my son my morning sickness was about done by now, and this time I really haven't been that sick. But the past two days I've been throwing up right away when I wake up. What is that all about?

54mama- With my DD I too felt an extremely intense connection with her and was actually sad for her sake that another baby would be coming along to take some of my time away from her. During my pregnancy with her I was obsessed with reading everything I could every day and the pregnancy was all I thought about day and night. When I was pregnant with DS I was so much more easy going and nonchalant about the entire thing. I hardly looked at websites and didn't think about it much. Its funny because my children's personalities fit the way I was during their pregnancies. DD is very intense and can be obsessive about things while DS is laid back and lets things happen. Makes me wonder .

The closest birth center is about 3 hours away, and that's where we hope to go. Is that too far? Could we make it work? We have lots of friends and family near the birth center that we could stay with before or after, but I'm just not sure of the practicality of a birth center that far away.

OK... this may sound odd coming from me... I live about 3 min from a womens hospital/birthing center BUT they have told me they have people come from up to 4 hours away (and other states) to come there So I dont think it's so out the question. I think you could make it work if that was what you really wanted. You should definatly visit both places, the hospital and the birthing center and make sure you feel like the trip is worth it. That would be my advice! Just make sure your comfortable no matter where you end up!

As for meeeeee... my lovely ms feeling seems to be an ADS All Day Sickness... but at least when I do throw up it's in the morning and dp (is that right? partner? as in we're not married but he's my 'baby daddy" lol) anyway, he's still home in the morn and is able to bring me some water and rub my back for a few mins.

oooo little treat last night, dp cleaned the bathub!!! gave dd a bath!!!! AND put her to bed because I had fallen asleep on the sofa!!!! hurray hurray!!! I dont think he's put her to bed in over a year! lol partically because she wont "let" him, demanding that mommy roack and sing but he got her down and I was/am VERY appreciative.... he was just out of town for three days on buisness so it was a very nice little break/treat.

Do you think it would be too much to ask for him to watch her tonight so I can run to amovie with my dad? lol

whitewax...hmmm... sometimes our partner's just live up to our expectations (same with kids!) so it's important that we have and communicate clear and sane expectations! my husband gets upset when he hears about dads who don't parent their kids. dads are not babysitters, they are parents just like us. asking your husband to put his own daughter to bed twice in a year is NOT too much. i think everyone is more hesitant to expect the dad to be inolved the first time around. i hope you get to go to your movie! and many more...

Hi ladies!!

Pretty new around MDC, but I'm trying to jump in where I can.

This is week 10+ for me...my weeks actually switch on Saturdays, so I just crested week 10 and am heading into 11, even though we have to count the weeks as they pass, right?

This past week has been remarkably better for me...very little nausea, no throwing up, very little indigestion...all of which have kept me pretty much bed-ridden for the last month. So, that was a beautiful reprieve.

What I have been experiencing, though, is a 6:30 p.m. system shut-down. I wake up between 5-6 a.m., involuntarily...I'm just wide awake, so going back to sleep for me...so, I guess it stands to reason that by 6:30p, I'm done for the day. And when I say done, I mean DONE. Usually by 6:35p, I'm falling asleep on my feet as I try to get a glass of water to take to bed with me. And then I sleep for a solid 12 hours.

Which is a blessing, considering I spent weeks 5-9 in horrible fits of insomnia...

Today has been a good day. I've been out running errands and trying to shop for Christmas. Rather than try to cram it all into one long shopping session, I returned home twice to rest, and that worked out really well for me...I mean, it's already 8:45p and I'm still awake!!

I am super-sleepy though, so I'm heading off to bed in just a minute.

Anyway--it's nice to meet everyone and I'm glad I found this place.

Ditto! Okay so I'm sleeping more than two hours per night, but I could sleep 12 if DD would let me. My body wants far more sleep than I'm getting!

Welcome, cjanelles! Glad to hear you're feeling good, other than the fatigue.

The lots and lots of sleep at night has ups and downs to it, so don't get too jealous. I can sleep 2 hours after work, and still fall asleep no problem at 8:00. Great and wonderful, except I'm getting NOTHING done, including my schoolwork for the class I'm taking right now. Oh well, people keep telling me I'll get my energy back at some point.
