Okay...I actually went to the hospital last night at 1:00 AM because I felt so awful & then (BIG mistake) googled my symptoms & came up with a self-diagnosis of a kidney infection... : Because I have already had a preemie I didn't want to risk letting it go & having a 25 week micro-preemie. (according to the net a UTI/kidney infection is one of the major causes of preeterm labour)

So...the last few days I've felt kind of "off"...tired, achey, generally uncomfortable...no appetite, slight nausea...and low back pain...not severe...just a dull pain...and lots of ctxs. (and I go pee constantly...at least 4 times per night, too...which according to the net is a symptom of a UTI but I've just been figuring that it was due to pregnancy...)

Yesterday we went out for Father's Day brunch...when we got home I stocking a few things on my HC cart but as I was sitting at the computer my back & chest (just below my ribcage) got worse & worse...I took 2 tylenol, went to bed, took off my bra (it felt too restricting) & tried to sleep. I had just fallen asleep when DH came in & asked what was wrong...did I want to go to the pool with them...?
At the point I was in so much pain that tears started rolling down my cheeks & I felt that every movement (inc. breathing) made it worse. He figured it sounded like trapped gas pain from brunch. : (I had eaten scrambled egg, potatoes, 1/2 pancake w/real whipping cream & strawberries...nothing really "gassy" nor was it greasy)
He got one of the kids to heat up the bean-bag thingy & I cuddled DD & nursed her to sleep. I spent the next 4 hours in bed fitfully sleeping w/the heat on my back.
At 9:30PM I woke up & still felt like s**t but figured I needed to get up. The pain didn't get any better...then I googled my symptoms... :

So...at the hospital they checked my urine & said there was NOTHING in it. No blood, no protein (which there had been last Mon @ the midwives...pretty elevated, too), no white blood cells...nothing that would indicate an infection.
They checked my temp...normal. They checked my blood pressure...normal. They listened to the baby...normal...160bpm & kicking the doppler!
The doctor said that he had no idea what was wrong...that if I had a UTI or a kidney infection I should have burning when I pee (although on the net it said because of the relaxin in ones system...a pregnant woman may not have burning)... I should have elevated white blood cells in the urine... I should have a fever. Because I had none of those he felt that it couldn't be a UTI or a kidney infection. He wanted me to have bloodwork done (today) at the lab...but was otherwise stumped. He gave me 2 T3s, sent me home with 4 more & told me to try & get some rest.
I came home & finally fell asleep around 4:30AM (& then got up @ 6:30 to get the kids up for school). I went back to bed with DD after that & slept until 11:00.
I still feel sick, tired, achey & my back REALLY hurts. (Lower mid-back...like 3-4 inches above the edge of my underwear...if that makes sense...)

What's wrong with me?!? : Anyone got any ideas? Could I have a kidney infection without a fever or elevated white blood cells? What else could this be?
