So for the past two days pretty much "everything down there" seems kind of swollen and low and I actually feel a little sore--like really mild sore muscles. I feel this way sometimes right before I start my period.

I don't think this is really a pre-term labor thing, as I have no other symptoms, but I also don't remember this happening with previous pregnancies. Am I just forgetting? Anyone else feel like this?

Is baby dropping maybe? I remember getting the AF-like cramps when baby dropped last time. I was 35 weeks, and he came 2 weeks later (starting labor with those same AF-like cramps, so I thought he was dropping some more, and well, I guess I was right
).

I've been feeling a lot of stuff in my cervix this week... like it feels like fingers poking it? Doing kegels helps. I just feel like this when baby goes vertex (he still flips transverse often). I swear he's going to crawl right out of me one day!

Sounds like the beauty of multiple pregnancies. Each one got worse for me. I am on pg 7 and I swear by 20 weeks I thought this kid was going to fall out and I was very swollen and just plain uncomfortable. I wouldn't worry too much, just take it easy and if it starts bothering you, call your HCP, but really, sounds like just multiple pgs and things being a lot more relaxed.

Yeah, I have pain and soreness down "there" that I did NOT have last time. Not sure why either, but just never did. This pregnancy has been very different though. I've had that pubic bone pain for weeks now - and never had that last time either.

i'm right there with you. the, ummmm, surface area of my yoni has increased and when i sit on a toilet things seem rather, uh, distended and i feel sore. almost like baby's head is exerting enough pressure make things feel a bit...bulgy. my mom described the same feeling to me when she was pg. with my younger sister (also her 2nd baby). it makes sense; the increased blood flow to the area causing the swelling, coulped with the baby sitting just a little lower. not to mention my body must remember being pregnant before, so it's more liberal with its stretch. i'm not exactly enjoying this, but it does make sense. now ask me in 7 weeks when i'm due if it makes sense, and perhaps yo'll gegt a different, more adgitated answer

I'm having somewhat similar issues... everything seems large and "puffy". At my last doctors' visit I accidentally peed all over my hand when trying to pee in the cup for the urine sample.
: And believe me, after months and months using ovulation-prediction kits and pregnancy tests, I am an ACE at peeing in a cup! Or at least, I WAS...

I am so glad I am not the only one feeling "distended" and "puffy." I keep feel like one of those baboons who are, well, obvious when they are in heat. I guess all body parts are yielding to pressure as they should, but I cannot say I enjoy this, or look forward to 7 more weeks of it!

I'm experiencing the same thing and didn't with my first (um, as far as I can remember anyway!!). Not enjoyable, to say the least! Good to know other women are experiencing it though (I mean, I am sorry to you that are but still!) because I was starting to think this baby was going to come out any day now.

Yup, I have the same feeling. In my case, however, it first started when I was a teen and had my period. When I would go for walks, I recall just *aching* and needing to sit down. It has continued my entire adult life when AF is here, and was absolutely miserable postpartum after my son was born. I think it's just increased swelling and blood flow, and for me it's just really painful at those times of the month. And now. If I stand in one place too long, it really hurts. Walking is better, but not much. I just need to sit down frequently before it gets too bad and the pain is tolerable. I am hoping to take it MUCH easier after this birth and maybe prevent a lot of the swelling I experienced last time. We'll see.

I was just coming on here to post about this!!

I am having the same thing...it feels like everything is sort of hanging out...and it's so sore and inflamed/bruised feeling. I told DH that I feel like we DTD, roughly, for like 12 hours (he laughed, because we have DTD about once a month for the last 4-5 months)!! And I made him look to make sure I wasn't getting vericose veins or something.

The muscles that connect my crotch to my inner thighs feel sore too....I read your round ligaments stretch to there, so that's probably why.

When I'm laying down or sitting it's not that bad, but I feel her up in my ribs...then when I stand up, I feel like she literally slides down and her head thuds against my cervix. Owwww.

Yup, same here. I was actually really noticing it in the shower this morning when I was soaping up down there. I didn't really get any swelling of that area until the very end last time. It surprised me to notice it so early this time.
