2 weeks ago, my kids got a stomach bug. (I have 5 kids-- ages 9, 6, 5, 2, and 9 mos.) They all seemed to recover okay.. the older two (9 and 6 yr olds) had diarrhea that followed for a week or so. What concerns me is that my 5 yr old dd has woken up several times at night since then and vomited and/or had diarrhea. This happened again last night. I just don't understand it. She seems fine during the day and then sometimes at night she still throws up, has stomach pain and diarrhea. My 2 yr old is still having diarrhea as well. This seems like the never-ending stomach virus! I am tempted to take the 5 yr old in to the dr just to get checked out, but maybe I should give her more time? Help!

Anybody? I need another person's opinion as to whether or not to take her in to the dr. When I ask Dh of course he says "it's up to you" and says "if you're worried, just take her."<br><br>
She seems to be fine now, it's 10:30 am and the last time she threw up was a couple of hours ago. I just don't see why it keeps coming and going.. I wouldn't be as worried about it if it were JUST diarrhea because my kids seem to have diarrhea for a while after a bug.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

I think you should take her -- what's the harm? Your instincts are telling you this isn't a normal bug, so why not get it checked out?
