Hi ladies!

This is my very first post (I heart lurking!!
) but I'm hoping you can give me some insight. My LMP was 3/7/09. I am on Day 39 of my normally 28-30 day cycle. I just started charting at CD21 this month and I have no idea when I ovulated. So last night, I took a Walgreens digital test and got a "Pregnant" within the time it took for me to get off of the potty. SO DH and I, confused, went out for dinner and I had loads of water so I could take another test. I took an Answer test that came out negative, and this morning took a First Response Gold Digital with FMU that also came out negative. So, all of this has left me BEYOND confused. Has anyone had any experience with any of these tests? Do you think my positive was a fluke? I'm driving myself crazy!!

Any help you would be willing to offer a random stranger would be SOOO appreciated.

Well I wouldn't think the one you took after dinner would be accurate b/c you had to drink alot of water and that would dilute the specimen. I'd take another test in the morning with fmu.
Good luck

I had the same thing happen and it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy

But, it is very possible that it is just vary early in your pregnancy and the one test that gave you a bfp happened to be more sensitive than the others. Hope you get a bfp tomorrow morning

the answer test is NOWHERE near as sensitive as the other as that only detects 100 mIU/mL

a test that detects 100 mIU/mL could logically still give you a negative when you're already 21 dpo with a perfectly healthy pregnancy, if your levels are low enough (which can still be healthy!!!!)

First response gold digital says it detects 18 mIU/mL...
but it's also notorious for giving both false positives and false negatives...

Walgreens digital says 25 mIU/mL

So right now I'd say you have a 50/50 shot

I suggest getting another test, make sure it's not first response (http://www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html will tell you the sensitivities of others... and a bit of reliability of them as well)
