I woke up and flopped onto my back and I put my hand on my belly (automatic...lol) and about 3-4 inches bellow my belly button and a little to the right I felt a really HARD spot, it wasn't hard further to the right or to the left, just in this one little spot (1-2 inches wide, 2-3 inches long).

That can't be the baby, right? Just a fluke deal?

my bet is an intestinal cramp or a chunk of poop!! I get hard cramps like that in teh am and always have , they feel and LOOK lke big tumors, my DH thought I needed to go to the ER when he first saw / felt one!! I told him, hey, my stomach has been doing this since I was a kid, it's normal for me.. I tend towards IBS tho.. have to be careful..

could it be the front top of your ute if you are tipped retroverted?? maybe , or if you are fairly thin and you were feeling fairly "deeply" and your intestines were empty you can and will feel teh front of your lumbar vertebra thru your abdomen, so that is alos possible, the fronts of the vertebra are a lot farther towards teh front than most people realize.. in chiro school we had several students swear they had abdominal tumors when what they were feeling was the vertabra bodies!! I am sure it is fine
Grrrr, now it's back. Only more to the left, slightly to the center and in my pubic hair. Annoying. Doesn't hurt, I can only feel it if I feel for it. Weird...

Maybe this has resolved but I wanted to mention I'm in my 14th week and I get this almost every morning. I thought maybe it was my full bladder pushing things forward? Let me know if you figure out what it is!

Not in your DDC, but: How many weeks are you? With all of my pg, by about 8 wks, I can feel my uterus while laying flat on my back. It's easier if I have a full bladder, and being on the floor (not a bed which is softer) is the best way to feel it. It feels just as you described it... a little hard ball (it's the top/front of your uterus) and can be in any place, as the full bladder pushes it up and displaces it over to the sides usually. Hope that helps!

The lump was there yesterday at my appt. And my m/w was able to feel it, she thinks it might be a minor hernia. If it's still there after baby I'll have a surgical consult.
