I'm guessing most of us have our baby's name picked out, and it seems many aren't sharing. That said, we haven't had a naming thread in awhile, so I thought this'd be fun.

What's your favorite odd name? Whether it's unpopular, untraditional, or just really out of character for every other name you'd like, I wanna hear it.

My favorites are Imogene for a girl, or Donncha for a boy.

I like Akhasha or Azalea for a girl, and Osiris for a boy. DP was not in board with either!!

i always like jethro and merlin for a boy, and rainbow for a girl. rainbow got vetoed as a first name but in the event we have a 3rd child and it is a girl, she'll be hazel rainbow. as for jethro and merlin, they were thrown off the table as quick as i laid 'em up there. we are having a boy and his name is tavish marley or tavish dale. dale is my dh's middle name, but i can't stand it, so we are in negotiations about marley; i think it's becoming more and more of a possibility. i want our kids to have their own names, and not to have the same names as anyone else in the family.

I <3 Peace for a girl, because it is what I wish most for my daughter's life. However, I probably wouldn't have the guts to actually do it as a first name...if only it went with Samara, since that is our little monster's first name.

I really like Sufiyan for a boy but it is out for two reasons....one is all "S" names are out for us since our baby's initials will be _.O.B. The other reason is my husband knew someone with that name who committed suicide so he cannot cope with using it. We know a lot of names we won't be using but haven't really settled on one we like yet. I think we might have to meet the baby first.

Belltree,
my hubby's pickfor this one, if it is a girl, was Juniper

I don't think it's too weird, I just thoguht that with our last name it was too cutesy.
I think my weirdest one is Jemima...I love love love it, but obviously here in the U.S it has certin bad connotations, which is a same because it really is a pretty name wth a sweet meaning (dove).
Boys...umm, I can't think of anything too weird on my part, by DH LOVES Avenger...
the guys we works with actually have some kind of pool going on what "weird" thing we will call this baby...our girl's name, this time around is pretty normal, imo..our boy's name is a little bit more out there, but nothing Phillip Pullman fans have never heard...

I know of a girl Noa.

I am NOT going to lie: I think Tallulah is the best name ever uttered EVER. I also like Honor and had never heard of it until Jessica Alba named her baby that.

I am also a big fan of Apple.

I think Samara Peace sounds really nice together!

We're not too big on unusual names but I do like Miley (if only it wasn't associated with Hannah Montana LOL) for a girl.
