Just a quick note to let you know that my irregular contractions of 2+ weeks finally got regular last Thursday (the day before I was to talk to my OB about induction... thank you universe for letting the babes come on their own time and not making me choose with worries of size, etc.) About 8 hours of hard labor, and 28 fabulous minutes of pushing (compared to 3.5 hours with DS) brought forth Katharine Marie at 12:28 a.m., Friday, June 17. She weighed 6.2 pounds. Seven minutes later, Olivia Jane stuck one fist and two feet out (my husband wondered if she was trying to give the hospital/docs the finger for making her leave once she finally got some space in the uterus!) I can't picture how, but somehow my OB pushed her hand back up and I pushed out Olivia, a double footling breech, weighing 5.7 pounds. Both are healthy and stayed in the room with us the entire time at the hospital. I had a small tear but am doing OK otherwise.

Breastfeeding is going extremely well -- boy does a person feel efficient nursing two at a time
We got home this afternoon and are still on cloud nine -- I am so happy to have made it to 37 weeks, ecstatic the twins are healthy, and so relieved to not be pregnant anymore

More details soon. Just wanted to pass on the wonderful news.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a great birth story! And so amazing that you didn't *need* a c-section and that your OB was skilled enough to help you deliver vaginally.

Can't wait to see pictures.
