Thats the good news...
The bad news is:
if my dang uncle don't get the papers the mortgage company needs filled out by him (we lived and paid at my great grandmas for 18 months but she passed in Nov so he is the holder of her estate so needs to fill it out) we won't get to close on Friday

Thats part 1 of the bad news...Part 2...The person who was going to lend us the couple grand to move our life out of storage in Maryland and bring it to Illinois is now not lending us the money. We found this out last night.

So, we'll have a house, but no furniture, place to sleep, dishes, towels, etc..... Atleast we'll have a roof over our heads right?? LOL

We have this apt (furnished, thats why we only have our clothes and toiletries) until end of the month, so we're good til the first.
A local mama is selling us a living room set for cheap so atleast someone has a place to sleep (2 kids on the loveseat, 2 on the sofa) and dh and I will have the carpet.
Then first week of June, around the 5th, dh is taking a couple days off, driving the 13 hours to MD, putting as much of our necessities from storage into the van and coming back. My moms car is small but she can bring a few things (shes coming to visit for 5 days)
Meanwhile I'll hit goodwill and walmart for some mix n match dishes and flatware, cheapy towels there or biglots and we'll get by....
Oh yeah, when mom comes she'll bring our queensize aerobed with her, so we'll ALL have a place to sleep....

Argh!!! I know we will get thru this just like everything else....LOL...but right now it doesnt' seem like it, kwim????

Thanks if you got this far.

(Hopefully we'll get enough back at settlement that dh can rent a moving truck in MD, my mom can drive our van back and dh can do a one way rental to get atleast some of our necessities here )

I just talked to another local mom and she has a full or queen bed that we can have and maybe a twin mattress so that will be great!!!!

Wow-as if moving wasn't stressful enough already. Good Luck with everything. Think of it as an adventure (if possible )

well, we just got word that most likely we won't be settling until next friday instead of tomorrow because the bank just picked up papers from the mortgage company for a last minute thing and it takes them 24 hours to process.
Our closing was scheduled for 9 am tomorrow, and we wont' know til later this afternoon if it will slide in for tomorrow, or not til next friday..

grrrrrrrrrrrr
