Posting troubles... I'll try again. So frustrating to write a whole post and then lose it <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">:.<br><br>
The meeting was great, though. We spent a lot of time talking with two new moms (both w/ 5 week old babies) who were having some troubles and were just generally tired, overwhelmed, etc. I think it's good for me to be around tired new moms when I'm having one of those I'm Done Being Pregnant moments. Listening to their problems made carrying the baby around inside me not seem so bad <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment">.<br><br>
And I got to meet another MDC mom! And got to meet some people that I can call after the baby comes if I have questions. All in all, if you can find a group in your area, I definitely recommend stopping by, especially if you're a first timer like me.

I hate it when I lose a post like that! MDC has seemed very unpredictable lately <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">:. (On a positive note -- you're one post away from being a senior member <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">!)<br><br>
It sounds like the meeting went really well, and you made some good connections. I think it's really smart to go now, so you have a support network in place. Trying to find people to help you when you're exhausted and frustrated and at your wit's end is really hard. Better to have them lined up, and not need them!

Yay! That's great! Resources like that are invaluable.<br><br>
I also try to remind myself that it's easier to carry the babe now than it will be when he's on the outside. Frankly, though, there are some days when I'd love to set my uterus on a high shelf for an hour or so and take a decent nap, or shop without running into the endcaps and sending things flying with my belly!

No kidding. This morning, I asked DH if he would take the baby for the day so I could get a break. He said 'sure', but we couldn't quite get the logistics worked out <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue">.

Oh, that's great!<br><br>
I went to a couple of LLL meetings before I had #1. I wanted to be ever so prepared for nursing when I had the baby. Too bad nothing could really prepare me for it! And double-too bad that we ended up having a really hard time doing it! But, I still remember a piece of hope I heard at a LLL meeting -- so in the midst of some very difficult times nursing I clung to what that other member said. And, everything worked out...ending with 2 years of a nursing DD. Yeah!
