So I've got my full stash of diapers in the house now... 21 Fuzzi Bunz and 3 Little Beetles. We just got the Little Beetles, and will be using our first one tonight... they are our overnight diaper.

So far, we are liking the change. I think the main thing I had to get used to was the sheer size of the FBs in comparison to disposables... they're so much bigger! But his clothes still fit and he doesn't seem to mind, so no big deal!

On thing I love about the Fuzzi Bunz concept is that you can add more absorbency as needed. My sister says that he wet through during nap, so I told her to add a layer tomorrow and see how that goes. We have the microterry inserts from Nurtured Family and Little Beetles Leaf hemp doublers, so we have plenty to choose from.

My sister says that the thing she's having to get used to is the fact that you can't "tell" when he's wet. I told her just to change him every 2-3 hours and everything should be fine.

I haven't had to do "dirty" wash yet, but I will probably be doing two loads to maximize the cleaning potential.

Now that we are doing it, I can't belive I waited so long to do this... I can't tell you how many times I looked at all the different diapers and would get completely overwhelmed by all of the information and then just give up in frustration.

I'm still waiting on our cloth wipes and diaper potion to arrive in the mail, but as soon as they do, we'll have made our full conversion.

I spent a lot of money, but I wanted to make sure I had enough diapers to that I don't wear them out quickly. I really want them to last through another child.

So my review of FBs so far is .

Yay!! You'll just love it more as time goes by too! I'm still kickin' myself that I didn't cd w/ my first two babes. But..like you I was overwhelmed by the idea of it and had no clue where to start or what to get. And at the time it just seemed so hard..and now I realize how easy it really is! You'll have to post pics of your babe in his new FB's so we can see!

Hooray! I agree, FB are an amazing system - simple, configurable in absorbency, husband-proof (I would have said "idiot-proof" but that just seems rude). Enjoy your new fluff!

I could basically ditto everything you said above! We're just starting out cloth diapering my toddler after deciding to switch to cloth for the new baby. I would have cloth diapered her too but when I researched it when I was pregnant with her I just got overwhelmed and gave up. We're not cloth diapering her 100% during the day and waiting on some night time diapers and cloth wipes to come in the mail.

And like you, the only thing that's been hard for me to get used to is how big and fluffy her behind looks. I'm not sure what we're going to do when we have to go out. They look soooo bulky under clothes in comparison to sposies. I guess it's something I'll have to get used to. I just don't want people to think my child has a load in her pants. KWIM?
