I am having horrible PMS-like syptoms. I have had them for about a week. I figured AF was going to return, but it hasn't yet. I took a pregnancy test because I thought maybe that was the culprit, it was negative. I have sore boobs, feel bloated, tired, moody and sore back. I am still EBF and he has little to no solids every week. He has full access to the num nums at night (and uses them).

Did you have any signs prior to your first PP AF?

Nope, the only way I know I ovulated for the first time PP was that positive pregnancy test at 11 months.

None of my usual symptoms before my first PP AF. I have only had 2 cycles so far (8 weeks apart) and no symptoms with the second cycle either.

I had several cycles (still do) where I haven't o'ed. In fact, since my af came back at 13 months pp, I've only ovulated once. You might want to consider charting temps if you can. It's been a huge peace of mind for me when I guess I would have freaked out before and poas.
Before it came back, I had pms symptoms on and off for maybe a month or two. I figured it was my body trying to gear up and O or bleed.

I've never charted before. Anything special I need to know? Just take my temp. at the same time everyday? When it goes up I am more than likely ovulating?

Look into the book Taking charge of your fertility, sites like fertilityfriend.com, and a basal body thermometer.

Two weeks before AF showed up, I had the most obvious EWCM of my entire life. Definitely in the "oh my good Lord have mercy... Honey come look at this!!!!!!!!" category.

Showed up two weeks later like clockwork.

Sort of. But I was unlucky and got mine back at 4.5 months PP (even though we were ecologically BF'ing and trying to practice LAM!!). I didn't ovulate prior to my first AF (or my 2nd, for that matter), but I was charting, and my chart showed NO signs of her coming. But about 1 month prior to when she showed, I had 1 time of unexplained spotting in my undies. I NEVER spot, so I knew it had to mean something. Unfortunately, it did. : But other than that, the day she showed, I had NO idea she was coming. Just went to the bathroom and found a surprise.

Mine came last night

The only signs were that the baby started acting funny at the breast, in retrospect he probably didn't like the flavor of the milk? He kept pulling off and not eating much.

The only physical symptom was a lower back ache.

And very out of character for me, I had a hamburger for lunch. To top it off, I had another hamburger for dinner! I should have known something was wrong :

My daughter is almost 11 months here and I have no sign of starting my period again although I often wonder if there is any way to tell if I am ovulating yet.

Hmm, I have had EWCM (M&A thanks for the def.). And my ovulation pain (sharp pain on side of pelvis). Maybe my body is gearing up for AF.

Before my FIRST pp AF? No. It came about two weeks after my pp flow ended, and I don't believe I ovulated because I never recalled seeing the presence of cervical mucus. ( obviously that doesn't mean a whole lot... my children are 11.5 months apart, so I guess you can ovulate without knowing it ) I had lots of CM with my SECOND pp AF, so I knew what was coming. That would be the first thing I would look for.
