Hard to believe we are already a week into August!

Austin starts kindergarten in less than one month and I am starting to freak out! I know he will thrive in public school, but I still have so many fears. That and holy heck school supplies have gotten outrageous and the school is being so darn picky, only name brand stuff (Crayola only etc.). ARGH!

We are going to try to go camping this weekend up in Washington at Yale Lake or somewhere else nearby. Marc's co-worker has invited us to join him for a day of boating on Saturday, so we thought we'd make a weekend out of it. I just hope that there is a spot available!

Thursday night we are going out to Sauvie Island to the Hoe Down. I posted the link in the July westside thread and I am to lazy to go look it up right now!

The conference was amazing! I will be posting a link to my pics HERE and Kristine already posted some from the fashion show and the rest of the conference in the same thread!

Next week I would love to have everyone over for a playdate/knitting get together. Let me know if Tuesday or Wednesday works better!

Oh yes forgot about the meeting. Wednesday it is! Let's say 10-noonish, and everyone bring a little something to share for lunch.

Please PM me if you are able to come, so I know what to expect.

Oh and Leslie, if you didn't come and bring Carson I think Austin would de-friend you!

One of the interesting things that transpired this weekend is we discovered that a spill that occurred during or shortly before our car was abandoned in Indiana for six months has rotted the threads that had previously been holding two of the seatbelt components together. Therefore, the snappy bit for the driver's side buckle and the strap for the middle buckle are, well, no longer attached. Which leaves ONE seatbelt in our back seat, and on the side none the less. I'm quite deliberately not thinking about this for the time being, because we don't have the money for car payments or a replacement seat, and I don't feel like having a nervous breakdown. So I COULD give you a ride, but only if you're not going to have a panic attack about the carseat being on the side again.

I'm bringing knitting - I've never quite gotten in to scrapbooking.

hahahahha i did NOT have a panic attack! i just stated how nervous i am when she is on the side. BUT, i suck it up, deal with it, move on, and accept that sometimes she is going to be close to the door.

i would love the ride.

i am bringing knitting too. amybe at this rate i MIGHT get done with her coat in time for her to need it!

We are a mile from the Willow Creek Transit Center station. I can see about picking you guys up from there if Claudia can't get you. That is if a few mamas don't mind watching my brood while I run to the station!

Do you think you would have room for the car seats from the conference?? If not can you bring them to the NINO meeting on Tuesday?

Also I am not sure if I have the space for scraping with all the kiddos running around, but I do have lots of comfy spots to sit!

Oh bring extra clothes just in case the kiddos get dirty, we have an empty garden bed that tends to attrack digging and the like, if it is hot we can turn the sprinkler on if all are in agreement to that, just bring suits and towels!

As for lunch, I was chatting with Leslie about this, and I wanted to let y'all know that if you can/want to bring something to share that would be great, just make sure it is something you know your own kiddo will eat, and a little extra to share. Between us all we should have plenty of choices for those picky little toddlers!

Blessings,
N~

Oh email or PM me for address/directions/phone number
