HELP! I just dyed some prefolds with Procion dye. I followed the directions from Earth Guild to a T. The prefolds soaked in the dye solution 21 hours. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed. I washed with Dawn (on suggestion from the "Dye Expert" at Earth Guild--she recommended it over synthrapol) and rinsed. A white towel washed with the diapers came out clean. Now they're all splotchy looking...some places are less blue than other places. No real pattern to it. I used 3 different kinds of prefolds, all properly prepared. It was brand-new dye. I don't know what went wrong!

Okay, so stirring for 15 minutes won't cut it...

Could I re-dye the blotchy ones or will that really screw things up?
