This may be a dorky post. I got pregnant with my first at 19, was in college, and got by on the bare essentials. Sweats instead of maternity clothes, PB and dried beans, etc. Now 8 years later I am expecting #2. I am in a place financially to be able to get those fun things that all of my friends have gotten while pregnant and loved.

Now this may sound a little superficial, but dang it, I dont care...lol.

I keep hearing good things about Bella Bands. I see the cutest maternity clothes. Belly creams...lol. Body pillows. Pregnancy teas. You name it.

I promised myself that this time around I would pamper myself a bit more during pregnancy, after not being able to buy food the first time around.

So....what do you have that you love?? What are your favorite pregnancy things?

A really good body pillow to use in bed. It has made SUCH a difference and at just about 8 months along, I'm still sleeping well.

I tried the bella band and I was too hot in it, I see the point, but I haven't actually used it! I like the old navy maternity real waist stuff, it looks like regular pants, but bigger in the waist. They run huge though, I would size down at least a size, and two sizes maybe even. Most of the fun stuff besides nice looking maternity clothes are when the baby is here!

Not a dorky post at all! I'm on baby number 2 and I think last time I was so focused on the baby registry and what baby needs that I didn't get enough of what would have been nice for me to have for post partum healing up, etc. I cant think of too many pregnancy things, but here's my list of wants this time around:

Earth Mama Angel Baby stuff - post partum bottom spray, bath herbs, and bottom balm for healing up down there

cloth mama pads for post partum - I'm actually looking forward to using these instead of disposable ones, lol

a cute/ nice set of nursing pjs

for pregnancy, I cant think of much? I do have a regular body pillow that's nice. I'm thinking of buying the tummy band thing from granolababies.com - I like that it can be used for nursing afterwards too. (The bella band is made of a material that I can see getting really hot in, like a pp said.) Of course splurging on a cute maternity top is always fun too. Enjoy pampering yourself this time around!

Ok, I thought of one thing we did and it might sound silly to anyone else, but we bought a nice expensive blender to make smoothies with and I have been drinking fruit smoothies every day now! I guess that's a pregnancy indulgence, but its good for me. So in the end I guess its whatever makes YOU feel pampered - go for it!

The thing that has been great this time is one awesome fitting pair of maternity pants (Gap Long and Lean underbelly style)! I *never* thought that it would be worth it to buy $68 jeans, but my mom insisted on buying them for me one day and they are heaven! Worth every penny! I wish I had had these for the first two babies!

YOGA. LOTS AND LOTS OF YOGA. Truly I think it is one of the best things that a pregnant woman can do. If you treat yourself to anything... (after the pillows of course )

I have it and love it!

PJ pants. Pathetic, maybe. I found a pair of black PJ pants at Target for under $10. Elastic band that sets way under belly button, long, wide legged, thin material that sways with the breeze--they look real dressy-like....or college-kid-like, depending on the top/shoes I wear. Most of all...SO comfy!! I bought 2 pairs in December and have worn them loyally since....washing them regularly of course I wear them everywhere--work, play, nice dinners, etc--and nobody knows the difference (wouldn't care if they did )

When browsing for comfy "maternity clothes"....don't forget about the PJ section--you can find real comfy things to wear! Depending on what it is, you can't tell that if they're "PJ's" or not. I hate "maternity pants"....I just can't find anything that fits right. I'm SO happy to have found my black PJ pants!

LOL I thought I was the only one who wore Target pj bottoms almost daily! I wear them to work, even!

Here's the body pillow I have: http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2....d=1944907&AK=1

It was a gift from DH for Christmas and I just love it. Also, he got me a spa gift certificate and a few weeks ago when I was really stressed and about 35 weeks pg, I took a day off of work and went and got a facial, a manicure, and a pedicure. It was pure, pure heaven. If you want to pamper yourself, I highly reccommend it!

Yoga pants! I got mine from Target, too. They're stretchy, but fitted enough to wear to work. I even wore a pair to my niece's confirmation. And some of them are short enough to be capris.

My biggest luxury, I think, is naps. I'm not someone who likes to go home from work, ever. I have a huge guilt complex about it, but there have been a few times during this pregnancy when I've cut out early to catch a nap before dinner. My coworkers and dh have been very supportive. It sounds so simples, but you don't have to make classes now- just take a nap when you need one.

Also, I got 2 maternity camisoles from Target in white and cream and I can put them under any top, and I've been pretty much able to wear a lot of my regular shirts up until really recently...extended my wardrobe big time!

regular massage.: Even if you only have time to fit in a 15 min chair massage, do it. So yummy.

I use the pillow that goes on both sides PLUS a long body pillow to go between my knees.

I also like those rice filled bags with herbs in them you put in the microwave and use as heating pads. We just got a hold of a microwave, so I can heat mine!
