Earlier in pregnancy I couldnt get enough of spicy dill pickles, now I am craving BLTs! YUM. I'm a health nut and don't eat bacon (ick- have you seen the grease after it hardens?) so I am using Smart Bacon- which tastes exactly like bacon but it's completely vegan. SO I got my BLT fix- smart bacon, and tomatoes and lettuce from my garden. I had one for dinner last night, lunch today, and I think I'll have another tonight.

SOOOO... what have you been craving??

I'm vegan and a vegan BLT sounds really good!! Now I want one. I don't usually eat processed food, but you have to treat yourself sometimes!

well, I was craving a baked potato and carrot dogs (like a hot dog, but you use carrots instead -- boiled then slightly sauteed before assembling). But, we had those today so I'm good on that.

I've been craving things like Indian food, Thai food and Ethiopian food.

Ohhh me too! Only I add avocado and sliced onion to mine, I renamed them BALTO's LOL!

I'm totally getting my appetite back, craving sweets mostly but lots of stuff sounds pretty good. Fresh bread with butter, mashed potatoes, basically anything fattening and carb laden!

With DD it was any preparation of potatoes (and I only gained 11 pounds in 30 weeks...imagine that!) but this time, nothing really specific. I am DYING (as I've mentioned before) for a big sushi platter...eel, sweet shrimp, squid, white fish...yum. Other than that, Chinese is always good, and I could really go for some spicy indian or thai food! That sounds great!

Welllllllllllllll...........

Spicy V8. Dang, that's the good stuff. Put a pickle and ice in it and it's feels like a bloody mary.

I read the most interesting thing about miso soup after writing recently that I've been wanting it. It's a cultured probiotic and the seaweed is teeming with trace minerals. That's probably all good, but the thing I found fascinating is that getting really great doses of minerals during your pregnancy is believed by some to buffer your child against developing autism.
(I read it in the Vaccination archives I've been slowly combing through)

So ladies, if you want seaweed-eat it! Your body is asking for minerals, yay.

Mom2mimi-BALTO's sound great. I would probably just have a BALT.

tuna fish sandwiches, which is SO FRUSTRATING! i allow myself one sandwich with a TEENY bit of tuna per week (i bulk it up with celery and relish) but ughhhh i could eat it for every meal if i had to. and salsa and tortilla chips, which is something i indulge in since i LOVE salsa and it's pretty healthy, relatively speaking

sour gummy octopi ? is that plural of octopus?
My kids got some at the store as a treat the other day with dh and I saw them and wanted some! He made me wait about a week for him to bring me home some and I ate the package which is enough to last me the entire pg!

Well, last night we went to our county fair. I wanted DS to see the animals. I had a fried fish sandwich there, just two slabs of greasy fish on a white bun with tartar sauce. That thing tasted so damn good, that I want to go back up there today and get another!
: But I don't want to pay for parking and sit in traffic forever, *sigh*

I LOVE Rotel! I've never added ground beef though.

DH had never had Rotel until I made it for Super Bowl Sunday last year. He didn't even know what it was. While I was making it, he kept coming in to the kitchen going "it smells so good! is it done yet? how 'bout now? NOW???" Too funny!
