I have been trying really hard to eat healthy, but at this point I am just trying to eat. Nothing ever sounds good to me. In fact I've been like this through out my pregnancy. Then if something does happen to sound good it is junk food, or atleast nothing with much protien in it & certinly nothing I have to actually cook
:

Lately even though it is HOT here I've been wanting Top Ramen noodles (mmm, deep fried salty white flour) I just REALLY read the ing list for the 1st time ever & found that the seasoning has MSG in it
GRRR!!!
:

So help me, inspire with with what wonderful things you've been eating lately too. Maybe it'll spark my hunger for something that's actually good for me

breakfast was plain cheerios with whole milk (from the local organic dairy, yum!). Sometimes I cut up a banana or strawberries to go on top, dh likes to put raisins on his and ds's cereal.

I just had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole wheat bread. next snack will be homegrown tomatoes, homegrown basil, and avocado with basil and vinegar. lunch will be a chicken pot pie and odwalla (probably the berries gomega). afternoon snack?? probably brown cow yogurt. and lots of water all day. i try to drink 4 pint glasses of water, two in the morning, two in the afternoon.

for dinner we're going to have a curry veggie and chicken stir fry over brown and basmati rice and a salad of spinach and homegrown tomatoes with a mustard dressing. YUM!

i need to remember to take my vitamin, i've forgotten a lot lately!

now that this baby has dropped my appetite has returned, thank goodness! here are some of my favorites...

breakfast: high fiber cereal (kamut: ancient grains) with some almond granola mixed in, skim milk, strawberries, bananas or blueberries on top.

lunch: bean/cheese quesadilla with fresh lettuce and salsa a little sour cream, or wheat pasta with a little olive oil and fresh parm, or grilled avocado and cheese sandwich, usually with a piece of fruit or small salad

dinner: various grilled meats (porkchops, buffalo burger, chicken kabobs, polish sausage, etc), always with a big salad (i am a sucker for colorful food, which means big colorful salads, yum), or veggie stir fry with brown rice or rice noodles

snacks: peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat (or wheat thins), fresh fruit smoothies with yogurt and oj, fruit salad, homemade hummus on tortilla slices, sorbet or chocolate something (ok, gotta splurge sometimes
)

posting this made me hungry, time for a snack

Ya'all are good!

I bought some Amy's mac n cheese (they had it at Walmart!) when I went shopping last, I've been all about processed foods lately also.

Today I had:
Toast with butter
Strawberry jello
Fruit salad with about 1/2 cup of oats
RRL tea
Emergen-C

For lunch I'll probably have that mac n cheese or canned soup

For dinner we're having leftovers from last night, potato salad, BBQ chicken, corn on the cob

I sorta graze all day long, the stuff i've had so far was spaced between 5 am and just now, 11:45 am.

Well, I'm bad, for lunch just now I had a cheeseburger and fries, 16 oz. of water and 16 oz. of rrl, nettle, and peppermint tea.

For breakfast today I had a local peach with some Morning Crisp organic strawberry granola in organic milk.

For lunch, I had a whole wheat pita stuffed with lettuce, avocado, red and orange peppers, green onions, cucumbers, organic feta cheese, white beans and yogurt-cucumber dressing (tzatziki). I had this with a handful of organic blackberries and a glass of homemade lemonade.

We'll see what dinner brings... I'm thinking pasta.

I have no appetite and cannot for the life of me find something that sounds good to eat. I know it's terrible, but most days I go without eating much at all, let alone enough for a pregnant woman to be eating. Not to mention I have room for a pea in my stomach and then I'm full
. I've pretty much given up on eating healthy and am focusing on just eating something at all. I've even resorted to drinking those horrible ensure drinks
:. I figure it's better than nothing!

Normally I eat pretty heathily but the last two-three days I've not been feeling like eating at all... ugh.

I've had left over mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, emergenC, and some pasta with green beans today so far and I've got a whole chicken in the oven roasting for dinner.

I have been having the hardest time with food. Under normal cirumstances I eat really well but right now I just dont.....

today:
organic sunnyboy porridge with soymilk(organic)
2 dough-nuts....I bought them for dh and ended up eating them.....
annies white cheddar mac and cheese

notice the big gap in the fruits and veggie department??
okay...now I'm eating a banana
my dd just made some whole wheat zucchini bread with the crazy huge zucchinni from our garden, there's veggies in that....and sugar..organic but still...
Dinner tonight ~ rice and black bean burritos with peach salsa...I just made it, so yummy!!

I find that I eat very little supper and usually nothing afterwards. I'm just not that hungry. I do my best to only bring things into the house that are healthy/organic so at least when I get the muchies the options are good....like extra aged white cheddar with blue corn chips and garlic pepper jelly (divine jelly from the local garlic farm) yummmm
I really should make more salad seeing as I have a crazy amount of lettucen'such in the garden, I just don't reallt want salad much these days.

Ahh well, my appitite usually comes back full force shortly after baby comes!!

I've been kind of bad with the veggies lately, because for some reason I'm not as into salads as I usually am. But I got down half a salad today with romaine, tomatoes and soy cheese. I had some peanut butter on a whole wheat english muffin and a glass of soymilk for breakfast. I also had some tortilla chips and watermelon and wheat thins for my many snacks.
I'm eating whatever tastes good and stays down - still having nausea & eating issues {MS never stopped, just lessened}. I've only gained around 20 lbs total this pregnancy, so I think I'm good.

it's been lots of cauliflower with butter and lime lately though - think I've had that every night for the past week

My appetite is gone, too, and early pregnancy nausea has returned, although thankfully not as badly. All I want are bland foods: cereal a couple times a day, mac n' cheese, popcorn, applesauce, bananas and cottage cheese. I'm trying to get some veggies down once a day. Yikes, it looks bad when I write it out!

I WANT THAT TO EAT!!!!!!

I'm finding it so hard to find things I want to eat...... As I type I'm currently baking bread in the bread maker - a first for me. But generally speaking I'm not normally that hungry but that may have something to do with my stomac being squashed
(Not pointing fingers BABY!) I eat a lot of yoghurt, fruit (When I have it), pasta, soup, and tofu (Just cos I like the taste...!) would be eating a lot better but until babys born I'm poor *sigh* haven't been eating too much unhealthy food though, strangely enough I'm not finding it appealing at all, before I became preg I ate unhealthy food ALL the time, but now doesn't appeal to me, odd huh?

blissful_maia - Just thought I'd add I'm making the pita bread things tomorrow... You made me want them that bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds herself with no appetite. (Though I'm sorry for us all!) I've been eating normally for months, and now I don't even have little cravings to guide me. And everything gives me heartburn ... even water. (????!!) When I finally find that I just need to eat and nothing is tempting, I'll have peanut butter on toast and applesauce.

You know, it's funny because they are like this for me too. Every so often I get fantasizing about the super-crunchy, lemony, garlicy taste and I just NEED to have it. It's okay though, it's super-healthy!!

It is really funny that many of you are saying things that I am thinking. Either about not being hungry at all, what your go-to meals are, wanting junky foods etc... I guess I am not alone.

I atleast had a pretty healthy dinner last night. We had veggie burgers, cottage cheese, melon & chips & dip. Well I guess the chips & dip aren't healthy
As usually today I've only had 1/2 a cup of coffee. I'd better go eat before I start feeling sick

some of you mama's are eating such yummy sounding food!
i've generally been eating quite healthy throughout, but for at least the last month, havent had much energy to cook, specially in the heat - which has finally given a little reprieve as of late

i have had no lack of appetite, that's for sure. i snack A LOT
i definitely wake up hungry which is not the norm for when i'm not preg. so i start out with a bowl of whatever organic whole grain type cereal, that was recently on sale, with soy milk, also a little flax oil with some keifer. right before i go to work, i sunnyside up a couple eggs and toast a couple pieces of whole grain bread - for a while was also eating cottage cheese and lightly greening some asparagus and chasing it all down with some oj ... but the asparagus is out of season now and i dont usually have the room for the cottage cheese either. the rest of the day at work i munch on at least 3 different fruits throughout the day - at least being preg in the summer is good for a variety of fresh fruits!!! - also much on carrots and celery, maybe some string cheese, been liking the wheatthins for whatever reason too. eat my other actual meal of the day which most of the time consists of some fairly healthy frozen (again on sale) meal i've picked up at the local natural food coop - like amy's enchiladas or something - but this week i actually cooked a chicken enchilada casserole .... yummmm

When nothing else sounds good (or stays down), I head for the Fritos Scoop chips and refried beans. For some reason, this usually settles my stomach and has been tasting REALLY good!
