I am looking for cute (simple) clothes for my two cd babies, there are a lot of "onesies" they don't work well over my bulky cd's. so who makes the nicest pant/shorts and dresses.

I find that Gymboree clothing is cut really well. Even their onsies are cut really wide. I love that place
And you can find lots of shirts not just onsies too

When Moose was little Old Navy stuff seemed to have extra bum space and fit well. As warm as it is in Nevada, all he wears right now is diapers and tshirts.

A pricier option is Hanna Anderson.
Hanna Andersson! Especially those wiggle pants, they look so cute over a CD.

Ditto - we LOVE Hannah Anderson!
gymboree never fit over my cds unless i got larger sizes or if they were really poofy
and most onesies are out. www.basicbrilliance.com is great, and they dye-to-order some really nice colors. I second the hanna andersson suggestion - they are the very best for cds. um... oh! zutano is also a PERFECT fit! www.comfykid.com

We love Hanna Andersson, too. And Gymboree, but I do find that Hanna fits better over cd's than Gymbo.
Gymboree's bloomers and bike shorts are really great for going over CDs, in my experience.

I'll 2nd, 3rd, or 4th:

Hanna (love the wiggle pants for day and zippers for night)
Basic Brilliance (they're bloomers are so darn cute)
Zutano

Plus, I'll add Lands End and Naartjie

Holli
Another vote for Gymboree-I love how their leggings, jeans and bike shorts fit over dd's dipes. I used to get their onesies too when dd was younger and they fit great. I can also size up at Old Navy and Gap and get a decent fit, but I have to take up the hem a bit so I normally just get dresses at those stores :LOL

We also have several pairs of overalls and shortalls, they fit over cd booties with room to spare

www.cut4cloth.co.uk -if organic cotton is important to you, this stuff is soooo soft and sized SO perfect for even a 'bulky nappy'. :LOL

I love their stuff but they won't ship to the US

We love Zutano! It is sized generously, and well-made. I buy it at a children's botique near my family in Philly. I do know that Baby Center carries a huge selection of it as well.
Hrmm, not currently CDing, but I know from DS that the hanna wiggle pants are nice and roomy! I picked up a few pairs while at the outlet on vacation- at $12/pair, it was a pretty good deal!
Oh, and I also used a serger to cut/hem the bottoms off of all our onesies!
We have good luck with Hanna Andersson and also OshKosh overalls. We also have some hand me down children's place knit pants that work well ( I mention the 'hand me down' part b/c I'm not sure they still make them.)

Note that I have found Zutano to run really small, my DS wore a 24 month size knit overall type outfit when he was 7 months old. By 10 months he was grown out of it. Other brands, we size up maybe one size if at all.
Another Gymboree vote. I use prefolds and Bummis SWW if that makes a difference. Also, Carter's brand is very generously cut and roomy.
i love zutano. Mulberribush is good for bigger toddlers. Kids Nature is organic, and the few pieces of it I own have fit well. I third or forth Gymboree. Oh, Kids nature is going wholesale, so they have everything clearanced right now
