I was just struck today by how much PLASTIC is used for baby toys. Just wondering what toys (and other stuff...like sippy cups) people like that are NOT plastic. Anyone use wooden teethers? Just looking for ideas.

let's see....

wood spoons, the potato masher, the dog, my finger, my hair....

ds likes stuffed things as teethers.... but he does have a soft spot for toys that light up, so we have a couple for car rides.

We have one of those wooden beads on metal wires on a frame things, and dd loves it! She also has a rocking horse that's all wood and fabric, and totally appropriate for a seven-month-old: it's got a corduroy chair-like seat behind the horse's head and little wooden beads on dowels on either side of the head.

She also enjoys spoons, metal pots and pans (the little ones), her board books, wooden blocks, and stuffed animals. And any of my necklaces she gets her hands on.
