This is month 2 on 50mg Clomid. I was taking Provera to induce a period, but my period showed up on its own yesterday halfway through the Provera. I've got all the days written on my calendar of when to take the Clomid, when to take the ovulation prediction tests (my first time using those), and when to have sex. I've never charted my temp, so that won't be much help at this point. Is there anything else I can do that will help? Maybe take Vitex along with the Clomid? Or would that interfere? Vitex on its own didn't make me ovulate.

I'm being really neurotic about this because I lost my insurance, so if it doesn't work next month, that's it. I can't afford to go to another doc and go through the rigmarole of convincing them that I know exactly what's going on with my body and I just need some more Clomid.

I'll second the NAC--I'm taking NAC alone and I ovulated last month--of course I don't know if it was the weight loss & exercise or if the NAC helped but I started taking it last month and I had a 29-day ovulatory cycle rather than the normal much longer, non-O cycle I usually have.

Do you know why you aren't menestrating on your own? Ten years ago I had no periods and the clomid did nothing to help me ovulate. I eventually, in a non-fertility situation, went to an endocrinologist. It wasn't immediate but eventually I started having periods on my own. Starting last fall we did clomid and IUI and in January it worked.

That said, in January I went for broke on stuff that might help but couldn't hurt. I took royal jelly and bee pollen, I had a cold anyway so I took Guafanesin (which helped with the clomid dryness), I did some exercises from the book Pain Free for Women which were suposed to help with fertility, feng shui for fertility, raspberry leaf tea.

I have PCOS. I conceived DS after one month of Clomid. I normally don't have periods at all, but I've had two spontaneous periods since losing 25 pounds, so losing weight must help my system a lot.

I was on Metformin for three months and I lost some weight but I didn't ovulate. I've tried soy isoflavones and Vitex for a few months and nothing happened there either. The only time anything's ever happened for me is the pill and Provera for periods and using Clomid to conceive DS.
