or more importanatly what can't i wash with diapers?
we have prefolds ,contours, wipes.
we have Bummis SWW, one Bumkins AIO, one FB.

can i put 'em all in together? i don't want to do separate washes just for the covers/AIO/FB but i don't want to ruin anything either.

what can i really get away with here?

also does anyone add vinegar to the final rinse, and how is that for you?

forgive caps/punct. but nak

i wash everything together (unless it is wool or it is new and dyed so it might bleed). i know some will separate their pul items and wash at a lower temperature, but i just do it all together. i'm lazy and and don't have really expensive stuff so.....

i used to add some vinegar to the first rinse of 2 but stopped when we had stink issues since i read somewhere that vinegar can be the cause (however, i think ours was build up). my only suggestion is just use very little (like 1/4 cup at most).
I'm new to this too, only been using Fuzzi Bunz about a week, I have been using prefolds as stuffers and we still use prefolds with covers. I wash the prefolds with the wipes and the the FBs with the covers. I am *counting* on getting a good portion of my money back on the Fuzzi Bunz by selling them when we are through with them so I want to be sure they stay in excelent condition. I have heard that you can wash prefolds with your FBs and AIOs but they will get fuzzies on them from the prefolds. Just my $.02

Thanks! that was what I was hoping to hear.

What about the dryer? So far I've been throwing everything in for a half cycle on warm, then taking out the AIO, the FB and the covers and turning the rest up to high. The covers and FB are usually dry then anyway and I hang the AIO to finish - is that necessary? Could I save a step and just fry 'em all on high for a while? Again, I'm trying to simplify but I don't want to ruin anything either.
I use aios and pockets. I wash everything together (on hot/cold fwiw) and dry everything together on hot. Works for me.

Everything goes in the wash together. Everything goes in the dryer together. hot for both.

BUT.. I just have to say this.. If you have new stuff in rich colors, please PLEASE wash them separatly with an old white sock that has a hole and make sure they don't bleed first. Even if it does, most will stop after the first couple of washes, but make sure FIRST.

Anything that is super fuzzy.. hemp fleece, sherpa, organic cotton fleece etc.. wash and dry separatly the first couple of times because they shed and it will stick to microfleece etc.. After that, there is no need to separate.

Now.. for a list of things to be certain are not in your wash.. per my experience
.. markers, snappis, disposable wipes, disposable diapers, crayons, a tube of rash cream with no lid in place (you've never seen repelling diapers until you've done this.. might as well use the stuff to repair waterproofing on PUL *LOL*), and, lastly, the cat (she's okay, she wasn't in there but maybe three spins).

Take care!

I wash everything together and also use vinegar - but there is a fine line between not enough and too much so you have to make sure to measure how much you are putting in each wash.

I wash and dry everything together. BUT I'm not using any covers that aren't wool... I used to wash my PUL and nylon covers separately on warm and hang to dry.

Of course all my wool is hand washed and laid flat to dry.

Thanks! We should also add Restaurant Packets of Strawberry Jam (never found in diaper laundry but once left in my little bro's pants when mom was out of town and dad was "in charge". Swear I started doing my own laundry after that).

Oh also a parrot (also OK not in there for more than 5 secs when the washer started agitating).
